With NCAA Football 12 coming out in July and Madden coming out in December(?), I figured it would be pertinent to get a thread up discussing both games as information is already being released.
I got NCAA Football 11 but skipped over buying Madden 11. The gameplay was massively improved for NCAA (mostly) and I'm hoping that the Franchise/Dynasty mode will catch up, especially the simulation statistics aspect which was woefully wonky. Curious to see what people thought of Madden 11 and what they hope to see improved in Madden 12.
Madden and NCAA have started releasing screens of new plays that will be introduced. I'm really excited that NCAA will be introducing the Pistol R&S that Hawaii unveiled last year.
Madden 12
- Will include "surprise" onside kicks ala Saints in the Super Bowl style
- Will include tuner set updates (varying from franchise updates to presentation updates)
NCAA 12
- "Without getting too technical, HDR (High Dynamic Range Rendering) is a way of rendering bright and dark parts of the game while still maintaining a high level of detail. It allows us to preserve contrast without losing the details that make the game look realistic."
