Let me talk up the lvac show from Friday night. Lehigh Valley Apparel Creations is a screen printing company. They also run about six shows a year under the banner of Lehigh Valley Athletic Council. “Let’s Hang Out” took place at Sokols in Bethlehem. A social club with just a ring, no seats, and room for maybe 150-200 people.
Five matches followed by two bands. One of the bands was Ultramantis Black but I didn’t go for the music. First match saw Myung Jae Lee defeat Lucky 13 by DQ. In the second match Clara Carreras pinned Becca.
Third match started the meat of the card. LVAC has run a two year program with a skinny worker named Billy Avery fighting against commissioner Chris Reject. There’s a video to explain this better than I could.
So the commissioner, Blaxstrom and Rex Lawless (Willow Nightingale’s partner) against the Flames of Love. Just a great, fun cheer on the undersized baby faces match. The good guys won, the commissioner got thrown out the front door into the cold, good fun.
Intermission.
Speedball Mike Bailey vs. Cheeseburger. Great match. Probably the best I’ve seen from Cheeseburger. Fist bumped Bailey on his way to the ring and that actually hurt! Fifth and last match was a teen man tag. The Batiri, Little Mean Kathleen, Ultramantis, Delirious versus Dan Champion, Channing Tatum, Boar, Merlok and Veda Scott. With Sydney Bakabella. Again, a lot of fun. Faces won. Long time area heel Dan Champion turned face and slammed Bakabella.
These small shows are good wrestling fun and LVAC draws capacity crowds most shows. Catching Bailey was a highlight but almost anyone they book on these shows is worth seeing.
