And oh yeah, I'd love a version of RPG Maker which is actually user-friendly. Like, gimme different "difficulty" levels. Have "easy" be mostly pre-cooked environments and stuff which comes prepackaged and ready to play with and "medium" be designing the big picture while the computer handles the environment. Then "hard" mode can be, well, the usual RPG Maker experience where you have to build the entire goddamn game from scratch and have to balance everything yourself.

the full-on 3D version is due out soon according to an e-mail MS sent me (May 19th, it seems).

Hooty-hoo! I knew if I just posted it enough freaking times, someone would eventually listen.

River City Ransom EX's biggest "improvement" is that the price of stuff in shops has undergone ridiculous inflation. =/

Okay, that's not entirely fair. BIZ-ARF! is pretty funny.

Dunno why, but i would like to have all the Metal Gear and Solid games available on the PS3. Surely its possible to redo the code so its PS3able. Hell God of War where thinking about it.

Because if there was ever a series that didn't get the attention and acclaim it deserved, it's Metal Gear Solid. :p

Best Spiderman game ever! They should remake this instead of all the new shitty spiderman games they make.

I have the intital remake for the Gamecube of MGS, but with MGS2 and MGS3 being on PS2 only and my PS2 being knackered i want to play them again but not fork out £99 for a second PS2 when my PS3 should have been backwards compatable anyways.

I think it's definitely worth mentioning that Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a great game and its remake is now out for the Wii. So if you have a Wii, get it. It's really good! It's only 30 dollars! It comes with a coupon for a free taco!

(I'm replaying the original on PS1 right now!).

Wasn't that game ridiculously hard? Or was it just because I was a kid?

Maximum Carnage was a great game. It was hard, but it was one of those games where even if it did frustrate the hell out of you with it's ridiculous boss levels and continue system, it still made you want to play through the entire thing.

Oh no, it was hard. You had a certain amount of continues before you had to start over. I made it pretty far, to some level where a bunch of the boss villans were coming after me at once but could never get past there.

I liked that they made Venom legit stronger than spiderman. Who would ever choose to keep playing as Spiderman once you make it to the level where you can start using Venom?

That's a game I'm trying to get hold of for my PS1 collection. That and Kula World.

Also, I've long thought that the Shadowrun series could be well adapted into an action/RPG crossover. NOT like the crappy X-Box shooter. I mean, that bizarre world would be well suited to something that looks like Grand Theft Auto and Elder Scrolls had a kid together.

This.

Is this your first playthrough, Drew? I had it on Sega CD and it's one of the few times I ever regret selling off a game.

Yeah, never owned the game when it was out originally, and by the time I got a Sega CD it was long out of print, and I never found a store carrying a copy used. The Ebay prices have always been nuts, too. So despite never playing it before and it having dated graphics, etc. it's still very cool.

Although, talk about being "inspired" by Bladerunner... :p (and Terminator).

Wow, Hideo loves breaking fourth wall always ("turn up the volume on your TV!").

Twisted beat me to it but let me reiterate the support for Zombies Ate My Neighbors. A new Mario RPG game would be nice as well.

So, I just finished Snatcher and hot damn that was a cool experience. That being said, Policenauts needs a full English release at some point. :)

I kind of doubt Snatcher could ever get a full-blown remake these days, though, because there's gotta be some lawyers out there that would pick up on some of the...ahem...loving tributes to Bladerunner.

^_^;; Uh, that would be me... I never really liked using Venom. I also agree that they really need to make a game for Spidey as damn nice as Maximum Carnage.

I would also like to add that I would definitely agree with the Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terrignama(sp?), since they were supposedly related. All of them were good games. And some damn fine soundtracks too.

This reminds me of a poorly planned weekend where somehow, a friend of mine, my cousin, and myself all rented a copy of Separation Anxiety (two SNES copies, one Genesis version).

Considering that XSeed announced that they would be bringing a classic series to North America, this is probably the game that they were speaking of. Why they keep remaking Lunar, I don't know... Especially considering there really isn't much they do for the remakes that is different.

And guys, we did get a third Lunar game. It was a really crappy DS game. Full name was Lunar: Dragon Song for those want to look it up.

There's probably a niche that would like to experience the game without WD's "whacky" translation, and with a better grade of English dubbing than Vic Ireland's neighbors. Yet, those types may prefer Japanese vocal tracks, anyway. I guess until it is announced for here it is kind of moot, though.

SSSC actually isn't too expensive these days either, unless you must have the complete package with the leather bound manual and everything.
