I'm currently stuck following the gel levels in the old Aperture testing grounds at the part when you get to the "exit" but it's boarded up. I quit at this point on Sunday after buying it because my brain was beginning to melt.

I. Fucking. Love. This. Game.

Haven't picked up Portal 2 yet, but I just realized that I never finished the first Portal game for some reason. Had it in the Orange Box. Played a lot of it, but never actually finished it.

I'm about to get towards the end, I think. Just finished the mobility gels.

For those skeptical about co-op, it's fucking astoundingly great and completely worth it. My pal and I blew our wads through it one day, driving his roomies nuts with our "PUT YOU FUCKING BLUE PORTAL UP..NO not there. HERE motherfucker.. beep beep..THAT thing. God damn it. No, the orange one is the source for the light bridge..get that block, etc." Oh, and the epiphany on the level where we realized we
had to kill the light bridge and fall through the floor, up through angled portals, and collide in mid-air, using one another as a backstop
was watery-eyed triumph.

Seriously one of the best games I've ever played. For as utterly great as the first one was, this one is WAY better.

Cave Johnson's PA announcements in the old-school testing grounds, combined with the realization that glaDOS is actually just a computerized version of his dead wife, is the closest to a legitimately emotional moment this game could possibly devise.

Been hooked on this the past couple days. A buddy of mine and i finished off the co-op last night. Decided to finally try single player today and ended up going from the beginning up until the start of Chapter 5 (The Escape) in one sitting.

I have played the ever loving shit out of this game the last couple of weeks. I even took a stab at trying to do co-op mode by myself but quickly discovered that that wasn't going to work as I wasn't coordinated enough to push buttons on two controls and then turn two people around and run at the same time.

But for single player I've played it through twice on the x-box and once on my PC, and I've played through some of the chapters more times than I can count (Cave Johnson FTW!) The game is so damn addicting. I wasted a good chunk of my weekend figuring out how to break all of Wheatley's monitors just to hear what he said each time.

I have to do most of the co-op still. After I finish L.A. Noire I think I'll be heading back to that.

I'm only an hour into the game, but
that turret saying "Wait... I'm different." broke my heart.

I knew about the DLC but not the soundtrack. Awesome. And it's even got Want You Gone in it, which I wasn't sure if they were going to include for free. The DLC is supposed to mostly be a new co-op track, but will also add single player and co-op challenge levels with online leader boards.

Very disappointed. Got my Cave Johnson talking portrait in the mail, installed the batteries, and instead of dispensing wisdom it starts smoking and tries to catch on fire. And Thinkgeek is already sold out so I can't buy a new one. I WANT WISDOM.

Stephen Merchant as Wheatley—Portal 2

BEST PERFORMANCE BY A HUMAN FEMALE

Ellen McLain as GLaDOS—Portal 2

Portal 2 won best Multiplayer too. Really should give that a go soon.

Just completed number 2. I actually enjoy the ending song as much as the first.

I hope it's also hinting at a third game with GLaDOS freeing Chell to use it against her later.

I popped this in last night just to give it another look for my GOTY list. Goddamn did I forget how great this game is. I still haven't touched much of the co-op, though.

I loved the co-op. Played it once with a friend. There's an achievement if you beat it a second time with someone who hasn't beaten the co-op, so I had debated giving it to another friend for Christmas.

About halfway through the single player story and I keep kicking myself not getting back to it.

I need to finish co-op and then gamefly it for a friend to get that achievement. I'm just really really lazy.

I got my Portal 2 Hoodie off ThinkGeek.com and I love it. Haven't been shot by a Portal Gun yet either.

TO: All Aperture employees
FROM: Cave Johnson

COMPANY MEMORANDUM

Cave Johnson here. Your boss. It's come to my attention that some of you are concerned after receiving my all-staff memo yesterday ("You: Design Test Chambers or You're Fired"). So to put your minds at ease, let me clarify: You are not mentally ill and you did read the memo just fine. It was real. You should be designing test chambers, right now and at all times, or by God I will fire you.

Having said that, let's be honest: Some of you are incapable of designing a test chamber, whatever the motivation. You're only getting marginally better results than a dog would. Worse, actually. A dog designing even a substandard test chamber'd be pretty damned impressive, let's not kid ourselves.

But don't worry, you're not fired yet. It turns out there's an even better job you can do instead of being fired: Getting launched into an infinite series of alternate Earths to evaluate all the test chambers your smarter coworkers are making.

Wait, it gets better: I'll be right there with you. Every step of the way, whether the tests work or not, Cave'll be by your side, facing whatever life-threatening dangers we might run into out there. And even better, I won't actually physically be there. I'll be here, talking into a microphone, from complete and total safety. That way the people who'll be monitoring whether you're still alive won't have to split their focus worrying about me.

So there you have it. Everyone's useful in the Perpetual Testing Initiative. Except Peter Jenkins, which brings me to the point of this memo: Pete, you're fired.

Alright, that should wrap it up. Everybody except Pete get back to work when this sentence finishes... now.

There apparently a bunch of new Cave Johnson dialog in the new DLC. I need to hurry up and download that fucker when I get home.

Apparently the voice actor who plays GlaDOS (Ellen McClain) will be voicing a robot in Del Toro's Pacific Rim film.
