Genghis Khan (mostly through the depiction of him in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) and Killer Khan (and now his spiritual predecessor Great O-Khan) are my only exposures to Mongolian culture so you're probably right tbh.

Hell of a main event today in Nagoya. @cobainwasmurdered summed it up better in the MOTY thread.
Really looking forward to seeing wily old Tanahashi trying to use his ring smarts to take down all the brutes in the NEVER division.
Ospreay- Kojima was a pretty damn good brawl too. As horrible as he is is IRL, I got to admit that Ospreay is probably going to be in some World Title matches before the end of the year.
Also loved El Phantasmo’s heel color commentary and ragging on the CHAOS guys wearing their shirts in the ring like they were working a house show.

Idk if anyone has ever went as far as NJPW did with Jay White to make the IWC think someone is gone without them actually being gone.

Just finished watching today's show and I got to commend them for putting Jay White's return on one of these Road To shows (and a Road To show that Meltzer was calling out a few days ago for having an even more ho hum lineup than usual) instead of holding out for a bigger show. It really does seem like they're trying to defy the notion that these Road To shows are glorified house shows. I mean most of them are but it'd be nice if they did something like this on them every once in a while.
Does anyone else think that Taichi could have a huge babyface run after this Bullet Club feud? Call me crazy but I think he could work as a face.
I loved them trolling everyone by putting Jado over in the main event. Most of Meltzer's bitching about this show was related to Jado main eventing (in a giant 10 man elimination match he just happened to be in. It's like saying any number of the cannon fodder guys in the Rumble last night "main evented" the show). Although this was the emptiest I've seen Korakuen but what do you expect for them running there like 20 times in a month in the midst of a global pandemic?

Meltzer is really not worth listening to about this stuff. They put random guys into these matches all the time in Japan and it's not like it is something new. It's literally been aprt of the formula for decades.

I didn't like Taichi when I got back into NJPW a few years ago. It was mostly the silly gimmick and him being lazy. His matches with Ishii and his over the past year+ has turned me around on him. I love Dangerous Tekkers so much, and ZSJ has helped bring out the awesome even more in him. I'd totally be okay with Suzuki-gun taking over the tweener role that LIJ had now that they are full fledged faces.

I have a Roku to watch all the different streaming on but I’ve never bothered to look at that Roku channel. I feel like this has been hyped for over a year so it seems a bit disappointing but it’s an avenue to more access than I have at the moment.

Can someone with more knowledge of NOAH confirm that Mutoh has a legitimate shot of winning the GHC Heavyweight Title next weekend? I was listening to a NJPW podcast the other day and one of the hosts mentioned offhand "Yeah. It's weird but Mutoh is probably going to win the title next weekend." and I was flabbergasted. I just assumed he was headlining this show as a last ditch effort to try and sell tickets for a huge arena show not that he was going to over one of the best workers in the world!
