Less interested in Assassin's Creed.. more interested in hearing that assets are directly port-able to the Wii U. No more "downgraded" versions of large IP's for Nintendo. Glad to see that they put the shit ton of cash they made from the Wii to good use with R&D on this new console.

As far as internal storage goes, it's still unclear whether or not the Wii U will come packed with an HDD, but the specs sheet does amorphously detail "internal flash storage," as well as an SD slot and the ability to use USB storage. Notably, the list points out that the USB storage will allow for external HDDs. And while the disc slot gives us the impression that Wii U games will be disc-based, Nintendo has yet to reveal its medium of choice.

This is such an incredibly smart idea. If Nintendo doesn't get too greedy and attempt to have their own proprietary hard drives that are the only kind that work with the slot, this is really smart. I've hated hated hated how I can't just buy an external HD on newegg and hook it up for additional storage. Not too long ago, it was possible to buy extra memory cards and such for saved games and it wasn't too much of a hassle or price increasde but getting a new hard drive for the 360 is a bitch. I'm not sure how expensive additional Wii storage is now but this would be a really smart move by Nintendo to allow for people to buy and use third-party external hard drives without a problem.

Went to E3 today, mostly stuck around the Nintendo booths. I have to say I'll need a 3DS in a couple of months once Mario 3D and Mario Kart come out. I was really impressed by how good/ detailed Resident Evil: Revelations was too.
I ended up queing for the WiiU, got there at the very end and was one of the last people to play it (so only got to try battle Mii - There were several WiiU's set up with several different games; from the lines, New Mario looks awesome). It is really a clever device and really just strikes me as nintendo making a home console DS. I think only a few games will take advantage of the "seperate screen" option but it is pretty fun for multiplayer.

Let's just say that after that, I want to play games on the WiiU more than I do other consoles. Those abilities would be fucking fantastically fun to use.

Man, seems like companies are already getting the idea of how to use that controller screen, which is awesome. By the time the system comes out, we'll have some fucking fantastic games its looking like.
