Completed the final mission last night; I must say that, even though I never use this word and despise when people do use it, the combination of citywide gunfights and me racing to the statue with "Holding Out for a Hero" playing was fucking epic. That's easily in my top 5 gaming moments; it was just fucking cool.

Yeah, my roomate got this game right as I was going home for Christmas. I saw the first 3 or 4 missions and was like...okay, that's neat. I got back in from Christmas, and he showed me the final mission.

I'm playing the game myself now. Fucking awesome.

The total lack of weapons confused me until I realized I could upgrade the weapons. Now I'm a rampaging killing force. And I love the new BURNOUT style car mechanics to accidents. This game takes every over the top action movie moment and tosses your character into the lead role head on. Tiger Escort, the exchange with Angel after it is amazing.

I wasn't going to bump the thread myself since I figured everyone had finished playing. But I got it for Christmas and am loving it.

19 hours in and 54% through. Hourly income is around $41k.

Can't really get a good score on Mayhem.

Best laugh I got was when I kicked a guy off his bike and yelled something like "Off the bike, SAMCRO!" Nice SOA reference.

I could do without the repetitive voiceoverring. On a heli escort mission the damn computer broad kept saying the same two lines over and over and over again.

The first Tiger Escort mission was fine; but the Activity version is just annoying, because you start in a spot with a bunch of turns, etc. so it gets old quick.

The weapon upgrade system is pretty sweet, although the cost for some of them made me blink a bit.

While I am still not that thrilled with the radio stations in comparison to those from GTA, I listened to The Mix ALL THE TIME.

Question: I have completed one whole hood (one of the Deckers), with nothing else available to do/buy, but there is one small section that still belongs to them, and I am stuck at 98% without any way to gain control of that section; did I miss something?

Gang Activities don't show up on the map until you physically get close enough to them; you probably missed one of those.

What oldskool said, jump in a chopper and fly around over the non got zone. I had that issue with some of the Luchadors stuff, the Gang Activity was in a weird spot.


YNA Mayhem is easy get the rocket launcher or satchel charges and blow up fences/outdoor restaurant tables etc. You get cash fast because you can combo it up.

I haven't come across satchel charges yet. I think I'll do a little more storyline before getting back to side stuff.

Just grab a Vitol jet and hover above those gang operations and fry them with your laser.

So when is the DLC coming out? I bought the season pass and all I have so far is the Nyte Blade vehicles.

I've been wiping out the gangs with Reaper Drones. I had a Deckers group that wouldn't show up as destroyed despite leveling the area time and time again. Finally got em with a rocket launcher.

I have noticed you have to run up to them and get their "health" to appear, because I blew up the Luchadors Gas Station like five times from a distance before getting credit when I got closer to them.

Also your Mayhem weapons should change depending on the difficulty of the Mayhem... but I might be crossing streams with 2.

I went this whole game without realizing there was a store besides Planet Saints and the Costume store. Just found an emo clothing store in the Deckers territory, which doesn't have much but they totally have Matrix sunglasses I would have rocked throughout the game. And a quick map search shows there's apparently a leather and lace store. I imagine I wont be using anything from there though.

Just kill a ton of the 'normal' gang members, enough to get up to 5 stars. The specialists will show up. For the Deckers it's the Anime Girls with that giant thunder hammer, with the Morningstar it's the Snipers. A great time to kill a ton is during Mayhem, as they'll show up in droves and you'll have an unlimited ammo rocket launcher to wreck them all.

I killed a lotta Lucha specialists during Mayhem today.

Yeah, just pick fights with the local hoods. The specialists will eventually show up.

I just got Nyte Blade as my homie.

Slowly getting around to wrapping up activities. I'll be bummed when they're over with, then it's just storyline from here out.

This game has one of the greatest ending sequences of any game. Also probably the best wrestling match.

The GenkiBowl VII DLC is out next week. The trailer I saw had a giant rubber band ball rolling through the streets of Steelport, so it looks like fun will be had.

Indeed, i was originally expecting hogan to be voicing Killbane, not some shitty washed up dude.

Exactly. Angel was pretty lame. Let Rey Mysterio do that voice. Or Jericho, he probably could have brought something to the table. That being said, the guy who voiced Killbane did a good job. Much better than Hogan as Angel.

I didn't recognize RVD's voice at all.

Still annoyed that they got rid of Eliza Dushku as Shaundi. She did a good job in SR2.

I heard somewhere (could've been bullshit rumor) that they wanted Savage to do Killbane, but he turned down the role. Hogan was awful as Angel, and RVD is only recognizable in Murderbrawl. Still really cool that they're in the game, though I'm sure they regret not getting Macho.

Actually as I was playing, I was like, this would be so much cooler if Savage was voicing Angel.

Hogan's voice just didn't fit the character; Angel was this soft-spoken kind of guy and that's the farthest thing from what you'd think of Hogan.
