Phillies fans on Twitter were throwing about the term "historic collapse." I thought that was hyperbole. But to look at this one way, when Geraldo Perdomo came to the plate in the seventh inning of game four, the Phillies had an 84% win probability on the series. And this was a league championship series. Before this week the Phillies had never lost a postseason series they led by two games. The only collapse that tops this is the 1964 pennant race when the Phillies' odds went as far as 96% of winning before they crumbled.
