I'll get Ducktales because it is remastered and I think there is some new content and it was just flat out a really good game, but my experience so far with NES-era retro gaming is that $15 is pushing it for a price point.

So I plunked down the $15 for it, and played a bit of it last night before bed. Really enjoying it so far, however I am not sure if the entire game is as simple as the first stage because damn there was really nothing to it.

Well people do use Ducktales as a speedrun game... but yes, I'm having great fun with it.

I love that you can swim in the money bin. Frank Welker's voice acting is great but I'm not a big fan of the Gyro's new voice actor and while the guy doing Fenton / Gizmoduck is trying his damnedest to imitate Hamilton Camp, it's obviously a bit off. Good stuff though.

The first stage as in the money vault? That's a new stage that's just meant to be a "tutorial" of sorts.

Yeah ok, that would make sense. I could have sworn that I had no recollection of that stage but I thought maybe it was just all the years gone by.

So without warning, I was playing the game with the 8-bit music today. I think this happened because I bought an original level tune (The Moon, of course) in the unlockables room.

Edit: Oh, it was for beating the game. I'm not sure where the option to turn it on/off is, but it's there somewhere I'm sure (I only checked the in-level options).

Or: At the Capcom screen: Press down, R1, up, L1, square, X. Enter the option menu to toggle on or off.

The Amazon level is killin' me. Argh.

Same here. Took me quite a few tries to beat the boss. And then once I found a hidden heart to increase my life, my chances of survival increased big time. Well, just barely.

First stage I played was Amazon, and I got through with few problems on the first try. Then I went to the Himalayas...holy fuck does that rope jumping part with the spiders kick my ass. Tried the stage 3 or 4 times and lose it everytime in that room. Haven't tried the other levels yet.

My fiance gave me this and several other games for Christmas. It's been a fun trip down memory lane. The trophies are fairly easy to get, and the voice acting is a very nice touch.

I just got a Wii U and this was the first game I downloaded. Best Buy had eshop cards for 20% off last week and this game was on sale for 7.49 so it was well worth it. Of course I went straight to The Moon! Loving it so far. The Advantage's cover of The Moon stage song has been on my iTunes playlists for years.
