There's like 15 versions of the Office (including the US one). I think it's been part of how the people who own it choose to make money from it, license it to different countries, change a couple jokes around to reflect the culture, money!
I see why this ones getting a little more attention; it's more contemporary, english language and on amazon (and does appear to be somewhat marketed internationally). There being actual office spin off on the horizon means that social media engagement farms can present this trailer without comment (or even better, just the marketing images so people don't realise it's australian) and people assume it's the new version they've heard about.
But yeah, it's just another remake and they've been doing this for years. I'd hazard a guess it'll follow the same plot lines of the original episodes, they've just stuck the newer jokes in the trailer.
