Huge Batman need that I am, I have been looking forward to this for so long. Since it serves as a bridge between the movies (that is still not required viewing prior to Part II per Matt Reeves); I enjoyed Colin Farrell’s portrayal in the film; and I’ve been longing for a proper show that takes on Gotham and its criminals for a long time, I was at a near fever pitch waiting for this. It did not disappoint from my point of view.
The feel and look of Gotham, and the plot so far were just perfect. I like the unspoken backstory on Penguin’s origins prior to the first film. Without spoilers, anyone that watches will know what I am talking about because the camera work takes care of it all. Farrell’s walk is as awesome as how he disappears in the role. I cannot wait for the rest of the episodes because this show will be 3-4 times the length of the first film to really flesh out this world Matt Reeves has built.
