The Resistance: Demo(n)crats in the Era of Trump

There are a handful of Democrats talking about it but they are the outlier, and they've even been criticized by other Democrats for doing so. It's easy to point to how a couple of people are doing something but that doesn't change the overall issue with the party. It's like saying because AOC and Bernie are progressive the Dems don't need to worry about those issues.
I was mostly talking about Jeffries in general. Other Dems at least know how to pretend to care. Hell, a few of them probably do. Hakeem Jeffries in general is just someone who doesn't even know why he's there, nor what his job is. His entire existence confuses me.

Sanders’ endorsement of the 40-year-old Platner comes at odds with others in the Democratic Party, who are reportedly hoping that the state’s 77-year-old Governor Janet Mills will enter the race instead.

This party learned nothing

I'd prefer Platner, too, but I'm not so certain of the voters in Maine. They had a choice between a 40-something and the old as the hills/deep(ly concerned) as the valley Collins last time. They went with the fossil for a fifth term.

Maybe the Dem that won in Arizona will prove pointless when Nancy Mace takes her name off the Epstein/Trump discharge petition.

Maybe so, but then that's something to run on for 2026 in purple areas. "So-and-so voted AGAINST unsealing the Epstein files."

It may not turn GOP voters into Dem voters, but it may get enough GOP voters to stay home.

Absolutely. This could (trying to be hopeful here) start chipping away a bit at the "both the same" delusion.

Time to write him out of America: The Streaming TV Show

Then he posted some racist AI videos to all his social media mocking them both so I'm sure the President really took them both to heart... fucking buffoons.

Any Democrat trying to act like the GOP (or Republicans) can just be talked to/reasoned with to be bipartisan because Trump is going too far/the public has to realize this is too much are burying their heads in the sand IMO.

If they'd just cave to the health care cuts, the government will reopen AND Vice President Bowman said they'll stop making the hilarious sombrero videos

This all just feels like a mix of stupidity, cowardice and even indifference. If the party actually had a backbone, they’d get rid of Jeffries and Schuemer. The whole “we’ll win them over at the end” ideal of something like “The West Wing” has long since proven to be bullshit. Yet, they either still believe it or know it’s all fake and don’t care. Gotta get with those special interest groups and show fealty to Israel while refusing to support your own candidate in New York!

The fact he never got it covered up after 2007 is the bigger wtf to me. I can't believe he never found out. I can give a pass on a lot of things but I'm not sure I can on "Nazi tattoos". He's got a long time to try and convince people still though.

I think he's gonna fuckin plow straight through this one.
Think it just goes to show people are so sick of old establishment Dems that they'd vote for one with a highly questionable tattoo over them. This should be setting a light off in the head of other up and coming Dems to to primary some of the old fucks, but as has already been said, Maine is weird and the party leadership is still clueless until proven otherwise

I don't want more old fucks but and I liked what he was saying before this but it's pretty worrying if the Dems end up turning into a party that is also willing to do anything to win. I want them to go harder absolutely but there's a line somewhere and I personally draw it at "people who have had nazi symbols on their bodies for decades".

I realize I'm at a remove here so it's easier for me to say that but it feels like common sense. How can you call out the GOP for being racists and nazis and then have a guy on your side with a fucking Death's Head tat and back him? It doesn't work.

God I'm so glad I stopped getting tattoos after the first two. I, too, love Slayer. And black metal.

Culture Crossfire does sound like a radical political organization though
