Ugh... It probably makes sense for Jordynne Grace to lose to Tasha Steelz from a booking perspective, since the smart money is that Grace is probably WWE-bound and, since she's gone over literally everybody for almost two years, she should be putting people over on the way out. But there has never been a point in Tasha Steelz' career that I've ever gotten whatever it is that other people see in her. Every time she beats anybody, I just want to throw my remote.

I don't pay a ton of attention to TNA but it really feels like firing Scott D'Amore has caused the product to go to shit again. It's back to being a WWE dumping ground/development territory.

TNA being the NXT of NXT isn't the worst. But they just don't feel like they have an identity of their own now, for the first time ever. Just a feeder fed in the most literal way.

TNA fired Gail Kim as well as others that were in backstage positions. Delirious is now Head of Creative and fucking Tommy Dreamer is Head of Talent Creations.

Delirious is a good guy to have in the sense he can keep the train running on time.

That’s all the positive I got for this decision.

It's oddly comforting how this is so TNA.

Are the fired people just gone or are they getting WWE positions? Because Gail as a trainer in NXT in exchange for a HOF spot seems delightfully wrestling.

Yeah. Let's put the guy who turned ROH from an innovative and cutting edge product into a developmental league for a coked out billionaire's e-fed in charge. That makes sense.

This isn't even LOLTNA levels of insanity. This is just a dumb, dumb, dumb move. At least Russo had some name value, some shock value, and had an undeniably successful run with the biggest company in the history of the business.

Delirious has none of that.

Either put someone new in a position to succeed or start sweet talking WWE into letting D'Amore and Borash to be consultantants who actually run the show.

lol ROH was always far more of an Efed than AEW has been come on man. ROH was like the template for it.

I would also say it started before Delerious, he just oversaw the longest period of downturn.

AEW is TEW, ROH is EWR.

There was no way out for ROH regardless who booked during the Sinclair era. What I do remember is not remembered very fondly.

Like I said earlier, Delrious is a keep the trains running on time hire. He had orders from up top with Sinclair to keep things a specific way and that’ll likely stay the same especially since it’s a 5th brand for WWE.

The endgame feels like WWE killing it and finally getting that tape library by this point next year. But, TNA has been dying for 15 years or more so they probably will just keep going.

TNA has only had like two good bookers: D'Amore and that early Memphis Attitude fusion of Jarrett and Russo. But I say this being both forgetful at times and having missed all of the Dirty Dutch run.

The Dirty Dutch run was the beginning of people losing faith in the company and practically killed the town. One of the reasons they moved from Nashville to Orlando is because of how Dutch's run was received by the Asylum crowd, leading to less people showing up.

Was it the beginning of Dutch or the end of Russo where they decided to basically take away signs and punish the Heel Section? Last Asylum show I caught was Jarrett getting the belt back to build to the Hogan match that never happened, so I think I missed Dutch by like two weeks. Didn't get access to TNA again until I think right after the six-sides debuted.

That was, IIRC, the first King of the Mountain match, which was firmly in the Dutch run. I want to say Russo stepped down from creative in August/September 2003?
