From what I can tell, "This Night Has Opened My Eyes" is only available on Hatful of Hollow, which Wikipedia describes as an album that "consists mainly of songs recorded over several BBC Radio 1 sessions in 1983 (tracks shown in bold were included on the album). When first broadcast, these radio sessions mainly featured songs which were otherwise unavailable - all were subsequently re-recorded for singles or the following year's debut album, with the exception of "This Night Has Opened My Eyes" which was only ever recorded for the September Peel session."

Be True by Springsteen. It was cut from the River album and used as a Bside on Fade Away and the studio version of the song didn't come out until the tracks collection in 98. He played it live a lot and a live version was put on an EP...but I don't think that counts.

I couldn't find a video of the studio recording

Bruce Springsteen - Be True

The EP came out way after the single did so this still counts.

However, if I was to vote for a Bruce B-Side it would probably be this one (again, only available live on youtube):

"Janey Don't You Lose Heart" b/w "I'm Goin' Down"

Loads of good Kinks b-sides out there, a lot of which have subsequently appeared on compilations like The Kinks Kronikles.
Consider "I'm Not Like Everybody Else," "Mindless Child of Motherhood," "This Is Where I Belong," and "I Need You."

Beck - Halo Of Gold

B-Side to Tropicalia

Salt in the Wound - Beck

B-Side to Sexx Laws

Beck - Midnite Vultures (Nicotine and Gravy)

B-Side to Nicotine & Gravy (this is really great and should have been on the album)

Soundgarden - Kyle Petty (Son of Richard)

Soundgarden - B-sides - Cold Bitch

B-Sides to Fell on Black Days and Spoonman respectively. I can see why they didn't make it on the album, but they aren't bad on their own merits.

Björk - Sweet Sweet Intuition

B-Side to It's Oh So Quiet

Sex Machine Gun

Beastie Boys - Skills to Pay the Bills. I don't know what it was the B-side for off the top of my head, but it's pretty awesome.

"I'm Not Like Everybody Else" is a fantastic little tune.

The Police- Murder By Numbers

Originally the B-side to the "Every Breath You Take" single, it was tacked on to the end of the later CD and cassette versions.

Jermaine Jackson featuring Michael Jackson-Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming (Too Good To Be True)
Jermaine Jackson (ft. Michael Jackson)- "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin' (Too Good to Be True)" (B side to "Do What You Do")

Generally, Michael's an artist without a dearth of great deep tracks but I think this is an exception. If Michael and Jermaine's labels were more cooperative then this probably would have been another Top 10 smash for the Jackson family.

Edit---Shit, this song did make Jermaine's album so I guess it doesn't count? I forgot the provisions for this thread.

Unfortunately it won't count since as you said, it made the main album (and the single was likely released with it as the B-Side afterwards).

Nice idea, I'll have a think, but I'm sure they'll be laughed at (as often is the case with my musical input on here!).

Radiohead's Gagging Order doesn't count since it was released on a compilation and doesn't appear to have been released on an actual single.

I also updated the rules to try and make things clearer and to clarify potential sticky issues (live songs, covers, demos, etc.)

Wasn't Beth by Kiss a B-Side originally?

Nope. It was released on the album Destroyer in March of 1976, released as a B-Side to "Detroit Rock City" in July of 1976, and released as an A Side in August of 1976.
