Basically the English version of the previous video. I'm eagerly waiting for August 28th.

I'll be interested to see if this puts any bite into the 2K sales. It'll probably sell well anyway (people may just buy both), but I skipped last year's and have zero desire to get 2K19 now that this is coming and there'll be WWE CAWs available probably day one.

In fact, I just pre-ordered it because with GCU and a reward certificate it's $35 for me.

The CAW sharing site for Fire Pro Wrestling World is up. It seems to work a lot like a Steam Workshop page where you "subscribe" to things to download them. There already seems to be a bunch of creations up already (over a thousand actually)

Also, the career mode plays out in the style of a Japanese dating sim which is....a choice.

I'm pretty sure the career mode of the last game that had that option (GBA I believe) played the same way. Kind of like a Stein's gate story presentation thing with matches in between?

So using the website to add stuff is really cumbersome, especially since it's still mostly Japanese stuff so the name shows up in the game in kanji (and you can't just rename them) and having to create a new promotion AND different stables in each one to slot everyone in just seems like a step too much. If they change the site to allow you to subscribe to multiple things at once and more english CAWs start to get uploaded along with some kind of rating system to show which are best (you can sort by # of subscriptions at least) that will help a lot.

I should be able to just create a damn promotion and throw guys in there, though.

FWIW edit slotting has been like that since at least the Sega Saturn days and it sucked then too. I mean I get what they're trying to do but you should be able to just set a default "stable" that all edits go into, and not "retired".

Played some online tonight. Two match quitters in a row. Guess some folks don't understand that this isn't a button masher.. I do like that the CPU takes over for players who quit so you can at least finish the match.

Did about an hour and a half of the Fighting Road mode last night. It's very similar to previous years, except instead of a fake Kotetsu Yamamoto teaching you, it's Nagata, Machine & Tanahashi. They have this sample of Nagata laughing that is amazing and I need it for a ringtone or something.

I will have to find the side by side but with how bad the character model for Tyler Bate is in 2k19, someone showed a CAW from 2k18 that was almost perfect. I am excited to have a deep roster but it is sad how a CAW can look better than what the developers actually scanning and working with the real people are doing. And I'm not typically a graphics snob.

Seems like people have spent the weekend uploading wrestlers because there's 4,000+ on the FPW website now compared to just over 3,000 when I checked on Friday. I've pretty much gotten everyone I could possibly want and I'm in the middle of a tournament for the WWE title. Simming at the default 100% speed is kind of tedious though but I can't change it without starting over. Playing at a faster speed is fucking rough since the timing window is like half as small which makes fighting anyone over CPU level 6 really hard.

I also still can't figure out how to do those corner charging moves like the Kinshasa.
