So I recently moved the difficulty up to Hard (and lowering the reversal ratings) and began continuing my second season in WWE Universe with Hulk Hogan heading into Backlash as the WWE Champion after cashing in his Money In The Bank contract. After doing this, my time with WWe Universe has been anything but like my first season with complete dominance.
I'm still playing as Omega (Raw) and instead of me getting a simple rematch, it became a Fatal Four Way with Batista and HBK getting involved. I'm a little pissed, but I can handle it, I thought. Well, no I can't as while I'm beating the ever loving crap out of HBK, Batista does what Batista does best and Batista bombs Hulk Hogan for the win and becomes the WWE Champion.
I'm pissed, but I deal with it. So Extreme Rules is next up, and after beating Shawn Michaels and Triple H for the right to face Batista, I probably have my most hellish match in my falls count anywhere match. I'm absolutely pissed, and I could've finished the match off a few times, but I spent a good probably few more minutes beating the ever loving hell out of Batista to claim the WWE Champion yet again.
This is where the fun really starts. With The Bash on its way, Omega gets to face Shawn Michaels (#1 Contender after beating Batista) one on one. I'm like, okay, I can deal with that. He's a tough bastard to beat, but hey, I can do this! So I actually manage to do it. Hurray me.
Then its announced that the match would be restarted as a falls count anywhere match. Wait, what the fuck!? So I think this can't get any better. Well, guess who shows up? Yeah, Triple H. Pedigree, Sweet Chin Music, boom. Omega lost. What, the, fuck?
Break to the next week, and guess who's my next opponent! Triple H! Awesome, I can get revenge and I proceed to do everything I can to beat the hell into Triple H. I don't think I've been this pissed with a WWE game in awhile. And I'm ready to celebrate but...
Match gets restarted as a falls count anywhere match. Oh, hi Michaels. You want to play the band? Certainly, I'll take your best song, Sweet Chin Music please. How about an encore Triple H? Certainly, the Pedigree sounds great. And yet again, Omega pinned lying face down. Fucking DX.
Just a week before the match though, Triple H is facing off against MVP. Michaels comes in and it soon degrades to a two on one. Then, to end the show, Omega just rushes out to make the save. And so now, I can't even really use weapons because I just went from heel to face. Thank you, Omega. As if I needed to make this match any freaking harder than it already was! Now I'm going to get a Falls Count Anywhere match, and Omega's going to get screwed over by DX.
I guess I missed Omega's promo of how he doesn't want an ordinary match, but something that'll raise the excitement, tension, and temperature from the current chill factor we have. Because at The Bash, its Omega vs Shawn Michaels in an Inferno Match. This was probably the greatest match I've had against the CPU, because it took ten minutes before either Omega or Michaels was able to hit a single finisher. It took 5 finishers, which were all coming fast and furiously after the first for Omega to toss out Michaels and retain the WWE Championship.
After The Bash, I had to concentrate more on my other character, Azrael (Smackdown), than Omega. Since it seemed both Michaels and him were given some time off. Now, before someone goes "I bet you are dominating both rosters", I actually haven't been with Azrael. He's been kinda winning matches, losing some matches, and that. Also, he's been pretty boring aside from the mini-feud on Superstars with Chavo Guerrero and I actually lost to him. So, I managed to string together 3 wins with Azrael and place him as #4 in the battle for the IC Championship (Daniel Bryan's current title).
The last week heading to Night of Champions was mind boggling. First was Raw, and finally Omega has come back and faces off against the Miz for the #1 Contendership to the United States Championship. ...wait, what? How the fuck does that work? How is Omega in line to win the United States Championship!? I give up on questioning it and just run with it.
So here we go against the Miz and it seems fine at first, until The Miz backs out of the ring suddenly and I'm like, what the fuck Miz?! Then Chris Jericho races down and enters the ring and beats me up. Okay, so Miz has an unfair advantage but its nothing I can't overcome. I can totally win this match. There's nothing to worry about. The Miz only went outside of the ring for a breather. Just because its a Falls Count Anywhere...
...aw come on, two run-ins in one match? And its Triple H? And he even gets to land the Pedigree? Are you kidding me? He gets to upstage Jericho even in the game? I fucking hate DX with a passion.
And then the greatest sequence of events occur because this will probably never happen again. The Miz with the pinfall, which gets a long two count. Kip up by Omega, followed with the Level 5 and the pin! ...1...2...3~! I fucking win and I'm going to be facing off against Shemus for the United States Championship and defend my WWE Championship against Triple H at Night of Champions! ...considering all the screwed up stuff I had to go through to get to this point, I'm quite sure I'm going to be fucked over in one of those matches.
Superstars occurs and I notice that Omega's eternal rival, CM Punk has a mystery partner against two people, I honestly don't recall the match. Why? Simply because of who his partner turns out to be. It was Shemus~! No way! Shemus partners up with CM Punk and the two are surprisingly a very damn good tag team. After the match, I'm about to put them together when the game actually asks me if I want to team them, and of course I say yes. Hell, they practically destroyed the competition, why not? So the Straight Edge Society is now CM Punk, Luke Gallows, and Shemus.
Smackdown is next and its Azrael vs Christian vs Dolph Ziggler for the right to face Daniel Bryan at Night of Champions. Not a very great match, as Azrael just dominates the two competitors, in which I was shocked he could dominate with the amount of times I've lost, and becomes the new #1 contender for the IC Title.
This wild week continues into Night of Champions in which it starts off with Azrael vs Daniel Bryan for the IC Title. I figure, hurray, I'm getting another piece of gold! However, things didn't go at all like I wanted them to... Daniel Bryan just fucking takes me to the woodshed. I've never been on such a one sided loss in all my life, and worse is that I actually was putting up a fight every so often. When I finally started making some noise, Daniel jumped up for a hurricanrana pin. And yes, I lost the match to a hurricanrana pin. Que the laughing track.
The tag titles go on the line, and I could care less about those, needless to say that the Hart Dynasty still retained them. I really need to find a team to take after the Titles. Maybe I'll send CM Punk and Shemus after them.
This lead to Edge squaring off against Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship. I simmed this match as well, because I had nothing vested in it, but the belt finally comes off of Edge (holding it since Wrestlemania) as Kurt Angle is your new Champion. Oh, its true. Its damn true.
Which leads to the United States Championship being contested. Shemus put up a good fight against Omega, but eventually I won the match. And there wasn't any interference what so ever to my shock, so I thought I had a good chance of retaining both belts. Or so I thought....
Remember my match against Shawn Michaels? Yeah, it was awesome, but this one was just as good an Inferno match as that one. Back and forth it went, Hunter and Omega beating the ever loving hell out of each other for the richest prize in sports entertainment. Finally, after what seemed like forever (15 minutes) someone hit their finisher and then threw out his opponent for the win. And that, was Omega! He is now the current United States Champion and current WWE Champion and is currently the guy with the largest target on his back!
God, I love this game. Can't wait to play more.
