It has a six sided ring and features Senshi from what I gather. The ring I get, but hasn't LoShiVal been out of TNA for ages?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he was out of TNA before the original game released which was late summer/early fall 2008.

I didn't realize it came out on anything other than DS so I looked it up the Wikipedia article:

The PSP version roster is nearly identical to the PS2 and 360 roster expect with the removal of Christian Cage, Senshi, Senshi X, and Christopher Daniels (who appears in Story Mode but is unplayable) the PSP also includes Mick Foley, Consequences Creed, Don West, Mike Tenay, Afro Thunder, Petey Williams and a varitey of jobbers created for Story Mode.

Also features new match types such as; Full Metal Mayhem, Gauntlet and Super X Cup plus new arenas; Canada, San Diego, Factory and Houston.

The DS version was built from the ground up and features a much smaller roster but Hulk Hogan is a playable character as well as Creed, Foley and Curry Man.

Consequences Creed was a recent departure but Petey Williams has been gone an awful long time too and was someone that had to be purchsed onXbox Live and Playstation Network.

I really wish TNA would find a way to get the engine that Def Jam Vendetta ran on. It was like No Mercy but with a points system where you'd get points for doing different moves and your meter would fill up quicker if you did different stuff instead of the same move repeatedly. Just didn't have a license, but kicking Method Man's ass was fun.

So, I've been getting the itch to play a wrestling game again, even though I really don't watch wrestling on TV at all anymore. Is Smackdown vs RAW 2010 worth picking up, at least used? I still play Fire Pro once in a while, but something different would be nice.

I got a used copy of 2010 last month and I play it a good amount. Some people got bored of it pretty quick though.

I think 2010 is worth it for $20ish or so. The Rumbles are fun. The Chamber isn't bad either.

The engine is pretty solid and that's coming from someone who avoided RawvSD like the plague until this year when I got a PS3.

I too enjoyed SDvR 2010. The CAW could still use some work, but the game itself is a lot of fun.

Am I the only one who misses being able to store up multiple finishers, as opposed to only being able to use one, and then have build up momentum again?

Not at all. I miss it too. But the current way adds some challenge to the game which is good too, especially when you have your finisher, but you end up losing it because your opponent starts countering everything and getting the upper hand. It can get exciting. We were definitely spoiled for years with the old way. Remember when you could start out with 5 finishers?

There is that power up that some wrestlers have where you can store 3 finishers. That I know of, HBK and Kane have it. You can set your CAW to have it as well. It's not really the same though :/

I would be fine if you can toggle the option on or off. It's a pain when your trying to set up a finisher through a table (for instance) but the damn momentum meter runs out before you pull of the move. Also, it's not unrealistic for someone to pull out a finisher out of the blue after getting their ass kicked for a few minutes. Sure, some may call it cheap, but it kept you on your toes at least.

Picked up SD vs RAW 2010 from Gamestop earlier this week (also got 3D Dot Game Heroes for only $30 bucks, and it's pretty fun). Really like this game so far. I'm playing through the Road To Wrestlemania mode right now as Edge, and while the storyline is fairly predictable, it's also a lot of fun. Still getting the hang of the controls, but I like the move scheme they use overall so far.

Yeah, that's all they're getting right now. Honestly, I think it's about time they got something as simple as dual title belts worked into the game.

I haven't played any of the Raw vs. SD franchise since the 2007 edition, do any of them allow you to run on and do moves off of the apron?

Because if not, I find it amazing modern wrestling games can't or won't incorporate mechanics AKI was doing in 97.

I honestly can't remember if 2010 lets you do that or not. I have a feeling it does, but I could be wrong.

I think there is a limited selection for some guys, but no where near the ability of running around on the apron and doing a flip in the N64 era.

I remember that WCW Revenge on the N64 was supposed to let you have dual title belts, but that never happened.

I bet only a few people have the twin belt animation.
Either that or it's one generic animation that anyone who has 2 belts gets.

I still remember the No Mercy screen shots featuring Triple H (I think) with a title around his waist and one over each shoulder. I was SO pissed they took out the multiple belt thing. Also, who could forget both WCW and WWE titles being held by Triple H in early video for Smackdown SYM before they introduced the Undisputed title?

I love how in the video games you can choke people out, stomp their neck, and bleed.
