I wonder if Warrior would've done the heel turn at Summerslam 92 if the end game was fleshed out for him (I'm assuming it was another half-baked McMahon thing). The dumbest thing about that ppv was Flair not booked to wrestle. Give him a good opponent on the 3rd match, go 15-20, get the next title shot. Flair and Perfect interfere and try to play Savage and Warrior off each other like kids with divorced parents. Hijinks leads to Savage getting a sneaky win. Warrior snaps and clotheslines Macho Man, shoulder tackles, press slams, the whole works. Even attacks the injured leg after avoiding it during the match. But he doesn't touch Flair and Perfect while leaving the ring.
Record several promos at the next TV making Warrior a tweener leaning to heel.
Next TV taping: More promos. Vignettes of Perfect, Flair, and Warrior (with hints of it possibly being like the Liz photoshop stuff earlier that year). And a few squash matches over face-y jobbers...walks to the ring, little or no makeup.
Roll out a bunch of new Warrior merch. Darker motifs, etc. Make him and WWF money even as a heel (or heel lite anyway).
Flair keeps belt instead of Saskatoon and rests while Warrior works the A tour as the "heel." I think it'd sell at least as well as IRL. Do heel vs heel main events (Warrior vs Kamala, etc). Sept and October TV continues this. HBK gets IC at SNME, Flair does an in-ring promo, Warrior has another dark tweener promo, Bret gets a big win as he's still being pushed to the main event circa '93.
Do a traditional main at Survivor Series. Flair, Perfect (Jack Tunney makes him work after all the interference over the past year), Warrior, Razor vs Macho Man, Davey, Bret, Undertaker. Make all 8 look like main eventers by putting them in the main event. Do Boss Man-Nailz stip, Shawn-Marty I, and Lawler's debut underneath with 2-3 more traditional matches.
Keep momentum going on TV into the new year and the first Raws. First Raw main event is Flair vs Savage. When it looks like Savage is about to win the belt back, out come Perfect and Razor (banned from ringside earlier in the show) with a bunch of lawyer types. Flair clips Macho's knee while he's distracted. Warrior runs out next (first time he's done a running entrance in months), circles the ring, and, before any of them can help Flair, Warrior runs into the heel contingent. Lawyer types go flying. Perfect jogs away to keep protecting his Lloyds gimmick. Razor falls and gets up to confront Warrior. Savage cradles Flair and wins the belt for the third time. First Raw goes off the air with a Razor-Warrior staredown, Perfect and Flair arguing, and Macho celebrating.
Rumble: Double main event. Savage-Warrior III and the Rumble match. Razor runs in, Warrior wins belt; Razor wants to celebrate but Warrior just walks to the back, Savage attacks Razor after. Bret wins the Rumble and the WM title shot.
Perfect turns and the first Flair match main events another Raw. Do the loser leaves at WM IX.
I like the streak vs streak idea above so keep pushing Yoko and Tatanka as undefeated.
Hogan returns but you can keep it self-contained as a tag team match as the main event/world title scene is doing fine.
WM 9
Ultimate Warrior vs Bret Hart. Warrior runs out and works match as a face. Better in-ring version of WM 6. Bret wins. Start shifting Warrior back to face over the summer to work with Yokozuna later in the year
Hogan/Beefcake vs Money Inc
Flair vs Perfect loser leaves town
HBK vs Marty III (do a Raw match between Series and here)
Macho Man vs Razor Ramon (maybe a stip here for the blowoff)
Undertaker vs Bam Bam Bigelow
Lex Luger vs (babyface) El Gigante
Yokozuna vs Tatanka streak vs streak
Steiners vs Headshrinkers
Lawler vs Backlund
8 man tag or battle royal to get others on the card
