Frankie and Derrick are the new heads of household. Frankie is concerned because with only eight people left, alliance members are going to have to go on the block. For now though, the Detonators main targets are still Donny and Victoria.
In the case of Victoria, Derrick had a deal with her, so of course he didn’t want to see her on the block. Derrick also wanted to keep Donny around, but that was going to be much harder to pull off. He made a case to his fellow alliance members to leave Victoria alone for this week, saying that she had been up enough times. They agreed, although they didn’t realize Derrick’s ulterior motives.
As for Donny, the Detonators plan was to put one of their own up next to him and intentionally lose the Battle of the Block. The problem was that they couldn’t find a taker. Cody had not been nominated yet and was not willing to break that streak. Caleb had put himself up three times. He was mad that no one else was willing to make a sacrifice for the alliance.
All of the Detonators held a meeting to discuss nominations. The progress was really slow, as Zach and Christine also balked at throwing the BOB. After the discussions went nowhere, they just threw up their hand and decided to randomly draw Skittles of all things. Christine was the lucky one chosen to play in the BOB with Donny and throw it. Cody and Caleb were the two drawn to go up on the block and win the BOB. Everyone picked was annoyed with how the process played out.
Derrick and Frankie went to Donny to explain how the nominations were made. Donny sensed that they were in cahoots with other people in the house. Frankie and Derrick insisted that Donny wasn’t being targeted, but they knew deep down that he wasn’t buying any of it.
Team America’s newest task was a little less game-involved. The mission was to create a distraction in the house by hiding one clothing item from each person. Then they would have to organize a neighborhood watch program and stay on patrol for 24 hours. Frankie, Donnie, and Derrick believed this would be a fun, but tough mission.
More Zankie hijinks ensued, as Zach expressed his “love” for Frankie. There’s still some lingering questions about Zach’s sexuality, but for now, he’s treating Frankie as a really, really close friend. Meanwhile, the house has become more taken aback by Christine and Cody’s constant flirting. Christine insists that she’s doing it to benefit her game, but some of the houseguests aren’t so sure.
There was still some friction between Zach and the rest of his alliance. Caleb in particular didn’t trust Zach and was open to backdooring him if Donny won the veto. Cody was also on board with that. Derrick’s eyes lit up because Zach leaving would be better for his game, plus he didn’t have to be the one to bring up his name.
For the BOB, the two teams had to enter The Black Box. It was a pitch-black room, with players being blasted by air and dumped with gunk to add to the chaos. The objective was to find fives bones and fit them into the scoreboard. There were also dummy bones in the room that would not fit into the slots. This was an ideal challenge for Christine to throw, as she could fumble around in the dark with arousing any suspicion.
At the start, Cody and Caleb stuck together and grabbed an early lead. They even got an assist from Christine as she handed off bones to them. But Donny was able to keep pace and pick up a few bones of his own. At some point, he realized that Christine wasn’t giving him any help. Donny believed that she was throwing the competition. But he just kept chugging along, eventually passing Caleb and Cody and winning the BOB.
Another mission-throwing plan by the Detonators went awry. Their target, Donny, was now safe for the week. This meant that the upcoming veto competition was now of the utmost importance. But for now, Caleb and Cody were the ones at risk, as they remained on the block.
