Even though Frankie lost HOH, he was ok with it because his fellow Detonator buddy Cody was still in power. Also, their main target Brittany was still on the block. Cody didn’t want anymore blood on his hands (there’s that phrase again), so he didn’t want to see Brittany or Victoria win the veto competition, which would force him to nominate a new person.
Victoria and Brittany were both frustrated that no one had their backs. Brittany vented to Caleb, who also had his gripes in the house. Caleb was still sneaking around, spying on Amber and Cody. He was upset that those two seemed to be close. Brittany and Caleb didn’t exactly trust each other, but were open to working together.
For the power of veto competition, the participants were Cody, Victoria, Brittany, Zach, Nicole, and Caleb. Brittany drew a “houseguest’s choice” card, so she personally picked Caleb to compete. Cody was wondering if Caleb and Brittany were in cahoots. Caleb did confirm to Cody that he wanted to see Brittany stay in the house over Victoria.
The POV competition was a soccer-themed game called BB Cup. Each person takes a turn launching balls (using a mechanical leg) into numbered spaces. After each round, the person with the lowest number was out of the game. However, the eliminated players still got prizes. As each subsequent person got eliminated, they had the option of trading their prize for another person’s prize.
Cody was the first person eliminated, but, his prize was the almighty power of veto! Of course he knew his possession of it would be short-lived. Now, you may assume each person would chose to trade for the power of veto. That assumption would be incorrect.
Brittany was next out of the game. Her “prize” was a penalty kick punishment. When “penalty kick” was announced on the loudspeaker, that person would have to kick themselves in the butt ten times during a 24-hour period every time a whistle was blown. Of course, Brittany decided to trade that in for the power of veto. Zach was next out and won a vacation to Germany (in honor of Germany winning the World Cup). He was the first person to not trade for veto power, opting to keep the vacation.
Nicole “won” a goal-oriented punishment. The person with that would have to make 2,400 penalty kicks in 24 hours, or else he or she would not be allowed to take part in the next veto competition. She traded that in for veto power, to no one’s surprise. Victoria was part of the final two to possibly save herself, but she kicked her ball wide of the scoring area. Nevertheless, she received a prize of $5,000. Since she was on the block, she traded the cash for the veto.
As the winner, Caleb won a Germitard, a German outfit that someone would have to wear for the next week. Caleb had every intention of trading that in, but for what? He decided to take the money and run instead of taking the veto power. Brittany was pissed because she thought Caleb would save her. Cody was pissed because the burden was on him to nominate someone else now. His sights were set on Caleb more than ever.
Cody and Zach were on board with putting up Caleb, but Frankie and Derrick believed they needed to keep Caleb around to help their alliance. Cody went to Donny for more advice. Donny suggested that Cody should do what he had to do. Cody reassured Donny that he wouldn’t put him up.
At the veto ceremony, Victoria saved herself as expected. Cody agonized over his replacement nominee, ultimately going back on his word and picking Donny. Donny figured others got into Cody’s ear and was hell-bent on figuring out who those people were. Brittany was sad to see Donny go up, but she was still going to lie, cheat, and do anything else to keep herself on Big Brother.
