The Attitude Era Thread Vol 1

Crazy that Hayes was only 35 before retiring from in-ring action (and he was probably the oldest looking 35 year old ever). I think he had neck injuries though.

Terry Taylor worker as a last minute fill in on house shows for WCW and WWF in the late ‘90s. His last match in WCW was against Steve McMichael!

OK. This might be the worst Attitude Era house show lineup. Given lineup, time of year and location, I’m guessing this was a “free event with fair admission type” event so I guess the fact that that they got Kane (even if he was against pre personality Bradshaw) and the early stages of the Hardys Vs Edge & Christian rivalry made it a pretty good deal

Snow/Crash could be fun since that was Superheavyweight Crash and Superheavyweight Hollys were amazing.

Hardys/E&C in 1999 is my shit, though. Those guys never worked harder. They were what, a month out from the ladder match?

How much did Cause Stone Cold Said So make on video? Because that has to count for something since it had the gun angle when it was too hot for TV.

Props to Hayes for repping the Truth Commision gear.

Hayes is probably lucky Vince didn't stick him with the New Rockers in 96. "You're all Rock and Rollers, pal!"
Just clicked in my head that this was the final battle of the Young Pistols vs Freebirds feud that spanned 3 Clash of the Champions.

Steve and Tracy would have gotten something good out of flippy Hardys.

Tracy did a lot of WWF C/D Show appearances in ‘99/‘00. He was one of Rikishi’s early opponents too.

In ‘00, Tracy Smothers made appearances in WWF, WCW, XPW and FMW (still around). What a career.

Found the shirt for @BruiserBrody to wear during his next Wisconsin judo match.

Yeah. This house show was discussed earlier ITT. Warwick Musical Theatre was a 3k seat theatre in the round that hosted off prime bands and touring Broadway shows. And during the New Generation era, yearly WWF house shows. I am guessing they signed some sort of multi year deal and by ‘99, WWF was popular enough that they could just send the B Crew.

Incidentally, this house show was one of the last events held here. It’s now a Lowe’s Hardware store. Hopefully, there’s a plaque commemorating the time Kane was there at least.

What is the smallest building they ran during the Attitude Era, anyway?
