I think they've pivoted from waiting for Darby (at least I hope they have) and Swerve is winning the belt in April

To me the 2 real questions going forward for AEW are where do Mox and The Young Bucks go from here.

Both acts have been at the center of AEW since it's inception. But, both seem really stale right now. I know Omega is earmarked for a feud with the Bucks when they return. But, does anyone really want Omega getting stuck in some 6 month long program over "control" with The Young Bucks at this point?

With Mox, do you break up his group? Does he just go away for 6 months and return with a different spin on things?

The reason I think those are the 2 big questions is because The Bucks directly impact Omega (who should be at the top of the card) and Mox because he's kinda been the foundation of AEW.

Omega/Okada is strongly rumored for All In and there's even been some discussion that they'll combine the international and continental titles there so I don't envision a Bucks feud beforehand. I think YB taking a break after dropping the belts was a smart move as I'm ready for them to come back. Mox can keep doing his things as long as he just stays away from the main event. I know he's a reliable company man and TK loved him but it's time to move on.

Swerve should get the belt on TV immediately at this point. Swerve wins, Deathriders turn on Mox, Mox goes away for six months minimum (or whenever you can have him and Kingston come back together for Mox's sake). Swerve can dick around with Ricochet a little more, Omega can do the Okada matches, and by August you put them in the main event. The long game should be some Swerve/Omega/Hangman threeway bloodfeud anyway.

They actually need to keep Omega and the Bucks apart for a while, I think. Like it's a total disservice to have them lean on each other right now, let them be their own entities. It's wrestling, it's totally okay to pretend the last few interactions didn't matter until you do some tongue-in-cheek shit later on. No one wants to be reminded of VP Cucks running away from the Deathriders, anyway.

There's fucking nothing for the Bucks anyway, tbh. Them being the saviors of the division (again) and beating the Syndicate is terrible booking despite it being a great 12 minute match stretched into a 32 minute one.

I remember being incredulous when people were saying that this Moxley/Deathriders shit could go on for another year, and that it still had legs as long as they didn't do [bullshit that they're currently doing]. And I realized that I was outnumbered, and I didn't feel like arguing about it, but I remember thinking to myself, "What would have to happen for it to not end with them doing [bullshit that they're currently doing]?" Like, maybe it seemed cool at the time, but the nWo was cool, at first... the Bloodline was cool, at first. They're like DX v.1.0, complete with Temu Chyna. From a macro view it felt like same soup, just re-heated to me, only difference being that this time it involved... better workers, I guess? But also, they've been feuding with guys that haven't been booked as credible threats to Moxley (or hell, even Claudio). I'm just not clear on how this could have possibly ended up anywhere other than where it has?

Also - too much shit being thrown at that actress for exposing the business: "wrestlers know they're gonna win before the fans".
I haven’t seen this because this is my main wrestling content online, but you could tell the intent behind it was ok (if you believe in yourself to win you will?) but the delivery and lack of awareness was cringe.

I mean okay, but I recall (and I may be misremembering) that nWo started off feuding with the top faces and it still ultimately ended up in the trash. So did the Bloodline. Unless they had been able to pull the trigger on Darby, this seemed kind of inevitable. Like, they started off murdering Danielson, and their next move was beating up Best Friends?

nWo and Bloodline had, at the absolute least, a better depth of opponents and they got booked in such a way to not make it just a clear blowout every time (even when it actually was) and were actual draws, which justifies a ton of mistakes in the moment. The shit with the Best Friends would've been fine if it was just a murder while building to something else and not a real feud. That was a victory lap TV feud that has no business lasting, maximum, 50 minutes of free television time from beginning to end while the rest of the story is being told around it. They had absolutel room to do something special but went in the total wrong direction for reasons I don't understand.

Because those are Moxley's friends and he wanted them to be on TV with him

edited: this is a fact btw. I am not speculating
