Finally saw "Sinners" and god damn that's a fucking movie. Great acting and pacing and the music is superb.
Definitely agree moreso on The Northman. I wasn't super big on it and it's gone down on each re-watch. I also have to think The Witch wouldn't be 3/4ths as good if it weren't for Anya Taylor-Joy and Ralph Ineson and what they bought to the table as actors.I think I'm off the Robert Eggers train at this point since he's reteaming with my two least favorite parts of Nosferatu (Lily Rose Depp and Aaron Taylor Johnson) for a Werewolf movie called Werwulf. The more I've sat with Nosferatu, the less I like it. It was kind of an empty movie that looked beautiful, but meant nothing. All the performances besides Dafoe or Emma Corrin weren't very good, and even Bill Skarsgaard and Nicolas Hoult came off silly on the rewatch. The Herzog version and even the 1922 version crush it imo and stick with me more.
And, honestly The Northman hasn't really stayed with me beyond the one time I've watched it. Good viking movie, but that's about it. At least I still have The Witch and The Lighthouse to rewatch.
I know I'm not the intended audience, but this is one of those things like "Minecraft" and "Fortnite" that makes me feel like the "old man yells at cloud" meme.Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Trailer
Damon Jr. isn't in this?
