I always like seeing how the rosters shape out a few years down the road in games like this. In the 2013 season I'm in, there's Ryan Braun and Jimmy Rollins on the Dodgers, Prince Fielder and Josh Hamilton on the Rockies, and Roy Halladay on the Phillies. Crazy stuff.

I'm playing for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats as a 3B, and hitting .270 with three homers and 14 RBI's. I also have 31 SO.

My manager hates me because I steal too much. I've only done it twice, but two others was getting picked off because of running on a two strike two out pitch. I rode the pine for a while.

The worst part about playing for the Padres is every other home game, it seems, they wear those camouflage jerseys.

Can't be any worse than the pink bats the Trenton Thunder seem to use every other game.

The greatest video game baseball game I've ever played.

Up three games to one against the Yankees in the World Series at home, Game 5. Trailing 3-1 in the 8th, Ryan Howard hits a two run home run to tie the game. The Yankees get two in the 9th, Howard comes up again in the 9th with 2 on and one out and trailing 5-4. One home run later and the Phillies are World Champions.

I've got my created pitcher in 2k10 just about ready fir. The majors. Technically I could have hit my callup goals awhile ago, but I intentionally didn't get them all yet so I could stay in aaa and get skills points faster. Did well at AA a age 18 and dominated AAA at 19 to the tune of a 20-6 record with an era under 2 and averaged around 8 innings per start. His overall rating is 81 so I'm stocking piling some skill points and during spring training I'll raise the last stat to the callup goal level and hopefully start the 2012 season in the majors.

Haven't really played a full team game yet, but I'm really liking career mode. Oh and my Evan longoria fathead jr showed up last week. Huzzah freebies.

MLB The Show 2010: The hitting is pissing me off. Even when I get solid contact and perfect timing, it's going foul. It doesn't matter WHERE the ball is, it's going foul. Add in the game deciding to freeze after a 3-4, HR, 5 RBI day and I lose all those valuable points makes me beyond anger. I'm starting to hit my goals, which is good as I figured out meeting goals and increasing attributes means more than stats to this game but the trading in this game is beyond unrealistic.

The Red Sox just dealt Mike Lowell and David Ortiz for Eric Young Jr and some C prospect to the Padres. Unless the Red Sox GM went completely insane that day, they are not making a crazy ass deal like that.

Getting rid of about 25 million in salary that might end up on the bench all season? I think you'd be surprised.

The game definitely makes some really awful trades during the RTTS mode. My Red Sox traded Lester and Ortiz for 2 "prospects".

Back, to the track, the wall. Ryan Howard has tied the game.

I got sent down to AA, and since I've been down there in seven games I'm hitting a .462 with Four homers and 11 RBI's.

I'm really liking RTTS. I played a couple hours last night, completing my team's first 11 games. I played in 9, switching between 1B (my primary position), 3B, and DH. I was drafted by Baltimore, so I play for the abysmal Bowie Baysox.

Currently, I'm batting .297 with 2 HR and 9 RBIs.

EDIT: 3 HR and 12 RBIs now, but after a recent slump including an 0 for 6 game last time around, my average has plummeted to .239. :( I've been moved to my 4th position of the season- shortstop- for this next game.

EDIT 2: Got moved down to 8th in the order, from cleanup.

One day from a AA All Star appearance and all the wonderful bonus points, the Red Sox traded my ass to the A's. Fucking SOX. On the plus side, the A's gave up their #1 starter, top reliever prospect and a mid level starting pitcher for me so I must be doing something right.

The downside is, I'm now on the fucking A's.

ETA: Didn't make it past the trade deadline, the A's sent me to the Cards for their top pitching prospect, Trever Miller and Felipe Lopez. This is the second time I've been traded for three players who are actually pretty damn quality. My power is finally starting to come around a little so I'm starting to develop into a solid power hitter now. Leading in average, hits, doubles and tied for 3rd in RBIs. Went from 3 to 7 homeruns this week so the Cards must be enjoying this trade somewhat.

I just had a 16 game hit streak broken. Fucking left-handed pitching.

CF is way better than power positions, though. 40+ SB at 10 training points a steal, +50 for every 25 stolen bases with hardly any failures because AA pitchers have low velocity & AA catchers have weak arms. Not to mention getting to leg out all those infield singles & turning double plays into fielder's choices really helps avoid those costly negative training point incidents.

That and I couldn't hit home runs for shit anyway.

I suck so bad at MLB 10. I'm barely batting above .200 in RTTS, and in the 3 regular games I've played, I lost 6-4 as the White Sox to the Indians, 8-0 as the Dodgers to the Padres, and gave up 5 runs in the bottom of the 8th to Boston to lose (as the Yankees) 10-5.

So I finally hit my first home run, and after leaving Fast Play off for 200+ ABs it turns out....I get nothing, it just immediately fast-forwards to the next bit because I had Broadcast Presentations on Few instead of Normal or Many like I was "supposed to" in order to see my guy make it to first base on a home run trot.

Fuck that noise.

Hit my first grand slam yesterday, cranking out an 84 mph dead ball (A sinker that doesn't sink)

Man, MLB: The Show kicks ass online. I played one game yesterday for the original team league I'm in as the White Sox, and had a back and forth game that I won 6-5 in 10 innings. Then I played 2 games in my fantasy draft league, which just drafted tonight. I'm the Dodgers, not that it matters.

The first game saw my ace, Tim Lincecum, pitch a complete game and only give up 1 run- a homer in the 6th to Matt Holliday. The final score was 1-0. Then, in my second game for that league, I jacked 2 home runs with Gary Sheffield, who I drafted to pinch hit and he wasn't in my everyday lineup. Well, he is now, heh. He drove in 3 of my 4 runs, and scored the other on a Scott Rolen single, giving me the 4-1 win.

I love this shit, even though I'm not very good. Does anyone here who has the PS3 version of the game (I guess everyone but Al) want to play sometime? If you have not added me, my user name is MattYoung730.

I started another RTTS, this time as a 3rd baseman. I'm the best 3B in the Rockies organization, even though I'm still in AAA, lead the league in hits, doubles, and RBIs and am in the top 3 or so in homers and average. Since my speed is low, the manager hasn't given me the green light to steal, but since I have the settings to only control baserunning when I'm the lead runner, the CPU stole a base for me.

The manager benched me for 'not playing well enough lately' after the game, in which I drove in 4 runs and extended my hitting streak to 11 games.

I just played the best game ever for my league. I loaded the bases with my first 3 hitters, but got no runs. He loaded them in the second; no runs. That set the tone for the game. We each got a good number of hits, and when we got out, we usually made contact.

He was up 1-0 for most of the game due to a Ryan Theriot knocking a changeup out of the park, but I tied it with a double in the 8th inning. I went through 5 different pitchers, with Bobby Jenks going 3 innings, but it was Scott Linebrink who picked up the win when I scored in the top of the 13th. What an epic game.

White Sox 2, Cubs 1 (13 innings)

I got MLB2k10 for the Xbox and there is some problems.
It's great that the AI won't hit homeruns every time you decide to throw a pitch in the strike zone but there are some problems. My Player froze on my second season in majors and I lost the file. The AI in My Player is stupid also. I'm a relief pitcher and I had up 100 pitches in an extra innings game and I also batted when the bases were loaded.

Jesus tittyfucking Christ. Trying to play this game against the CPU is an exercise in frustration. Not including RTTS, I have lost every single game against the CPU. I can beat people online. I generally hit well, now that I've had some practice. But the game just will not let me win.

Take the game I just played, for example. I had scored several runs and was throwing a no-hitter with Mark Buehrle till the 7th inning. Buehrle wasn't tired; he had thrown 67 pitches. I hit the target on 90% of my pitches. Yet, somehow, the Indians managed to get hit after hit and tie it up. They then went up by a run in the next inning.

To top it all off, I only managed 1 hit during the last 3 innings (counting the bottom of the 7th as I was the home team). And Cleveland somehow managed to rob me of three home runs in the last 2 innings. So yes, Cleveland won by 1 run.

This is ridiculous. The rubber band AI in this game is just as bad as NFL Blitz or the Mario Kart series. It pisses me off even more because this is such a great baseball game, otherwise.

EDIT: I played one more game and I finally won... barely. I completely stand by what I said in this post. I led 2-0 going into the 7th or 8th, and of course they tied it up. I finally won 3-2 after 16 innings and an hour and a half of playing.

The only thing that bugs me in TheShow is in RTTS as a pitcher. Pitcher is always stuck in animation actions when a ball is hit right back at you and you just have to watch it go past for that easy on base hit. Sucks you can't catch those.

I hate the physics regarding a line drive hitting the pitcher. They never get injured, even if it's a 100 MPH line drive to the head or ankle or whatever. They also can often field the ball just fine after getting hit.

Which is odd because every offseason I've gotten to has shown at least one pitcher retiring with a skull fracture.
