I get Bernie wants his platform to go forward, but considering what is happening in our country right now both in terms of health and the possible depression about to destroy our economy, he should really drop out. It would be one less distraction. People really shouldn't feel the need to go out and vote over the next 3 months, and everyone needs to rally around Joe just to make sure Trump isn't in office for the cleanup.

I wanted him to win bad, but I'll lose a ton of respect for him if he can't see the gravity of what's going on now.

Outside of a couple of the Governors (Cuomo, I think, is quickly cementing himself as a frontrunner for 2024), The Democrats seem to be botching the response almost as bad if not as badly as the Republicans.

I honestly think it was worst major POTUS campaign of all time. At least they'll always have American Samoa.

I DO think there's on way that Biden can have solid win over Trump is if he makes a one term pledge and/or picks a female POC running mate, preferably one to the left of him (c'mon Stacey Abrams) but I think even Kamala Harris would do. Although it'll be awkward af when they keep bringing up her confronting Joe at the first primary debate.

The Bernie or Bust crowd is so far in the forest they can't see the trees. They cling to some meaningless polls that show Bernie beating Trump and are convinced only he can beat him. Those polls might as well be hypothetical opposition candidate vs. incumbent office holder. They don’t mean shit that far away from an election. Bernie can't even win a democratic primary when it's down to one on one.

The other talking point is that a moderate lost to Trump in 2016 so a moderate will lose in 2020. They leave out that the moderate candidate was a woman. I truly believe that a candidate with a penis beats Trump easily. The 2016 election came down to 80,000 votes across 3 traditionally blue states (Pennsylvania, Michigan & Wisconsin). This country was/is just not ready for a female president. Any qualified woman will come across as unlikable or lacking charisma to a portion of voters on the national stage.

Biden is beating Bernie in counties that voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary but went for Trump in the general election. Many of those counties went for Obama in 2008 & 2012. I think the 2020 election is called for Biden by 11 PM EST because he flips PA, MI, WI, NC, FL & AZ away from Trump.

1. There are primary elections besides the one for president going on. Bernie dropping out changes nothing.
2. Bernie staffers called for the elections to be postponed. Biden promised that polling locations would be safe.
3. Bernie has been streaming multiple times this week and hasn't mentioned the election since Tuesday. Donations are going to charities now instead of his campaign.
4. Ignoring all of that. I really don't understand how anyone can support Biden after this week. He's either sick, hiding out so he doesn't expose how terrible he is, or laying low because he thinks he's got the nomination in the bag and it doesn't matter. Either way, this isn't a guy who's getting any support in the general election.
