Yang just endorsed Biden live on CNN and said Sanders should get out of the race and we should all rally behind Joe.

This tweet was a "down thread" response to someone criticizing Sanders for not doing enough to earn the black vote... Imagine having the audacity to accuse black people of not caring about voter suppression!

because I'm not really all that hip to twitter I can't really tell who's arguing what with who here tbh, nor do I care. A Bernie supporter is yelling about voter suppression and a black dude called him out on it? cool.

what anyone on twitter being divided by this shit is they need to realize that's what the man wants

My guess is he's announcing the cancellation of the rest of his rallies over the coronavirus.

Bernie says he's staying in the race and will debate Biden on Sunday.
In this current climate, I feel like a fuggin press release saying that would have sufficed!

And 909, that is disappointing thing about Biden's dominance and mainstream media's whining about electability. I think with what's about to happen this summer, with a recession guaranteed and possibly pandemic, fuggin any D will do. We should roll the dice on someone who can make a change rather than a senile centrist who doesn't really stand up for anything.

He needs to get out of the way. No need to drag this out til the Summer. He lost pretty much and he doesn't have much of a chance.

Biden isn't who I wanted either, but Bernie trying to stay in for months would be terrible.

I’d like to see ol’ Donny Trump wriggle his way outta THIS jam!

Ah! Well, nevertheless.

Wash, rinse, repeat. (To be clear, I do hope you’re right, but the past four years have left me a bit skeptical.)

I can see both sides RE: Bernie dropping out.

I certainly can see why he would after last night and I kind of advocated for it on the last page. But if he left right now, does anybody really think Biden would adopt any progressive policies? No harm in pushing a few more weeks and hoping for a miracle (IE Biden saying something awful on Sunday). I think half of the primaries still haven't happened btw.

No reason to despair. (Still in the denial stage of grief)

Bernie showing up to the debate in a salmon suit on Sunday would be game changing moment in US history.

It's over because voters chose fear over progress

Bernie is staying in for now to house in this debate/town hall....then he'll drop the mic and walk off

If Bernie Sanders were really in this for the good of the country, or for the good of the cause/movement, and not for the good of Bernie Sanders, he would hand-pick a younger successor, who shares his ideology, and put all his political capital into getting that person elected.

So, when I asked this question over a year ago, I was told that the person Sanders wants to succeed him wasn't eligible to run yet, which I interpreted to mean AOC. Well, this just popped up:

So, if Bernie's protégé doesn't want to do with him, any more, who are his acolytes going to get behind in 2024 and beyond, now? Also, and maybe it's just me, but I'm going to find it fucking hilarious if it turns out that Bernie's hand-pick successor turned her back on him, because he publicly embraced Joe Rogan's endorsement.

AOC campaigned for Bernie last weekend in Michigan and was on Seth Meyers talking about BernDawg.

I think any talk of their falling out is media stirring the shit just like they did when they tried to hype up the Bernie-Warren feud. They're still friends. As much as someone can be friends with Bernard.

I think AOC is politically astute enough to know to pick her spots and not be ride or die with a losing campaign.

And I mean if AOC is publicly disavowing the Rogan endorsement, good luck for her getting any traction with white dude moderates in 2024.

Uh-huh... And, out of curiosity, where do you stand, Kamala? Do you actually care about the "revolution" or, as your handle implies, are you just in this for Bernie, and that's it?

I'm not Bernie or bust. I've been a fan of his for decades, before he ran for President but he's not the beginning of the movement and he won't be the end. AOC and all of the people of my generation are the ones that are actually probably going to effect change.

Bernie Bro moniker is mostly joking.

Arizona, Illinois, Ohio, and Florida primaries are still happening on Tuesday but ya gotta imagine turnout will take a major hit.
