People said he had no chance to win in 2016. I've seen this play before on a smaller stage here in Maine in 2014. I think there's a fair to good chance we get four more years of Agent Orange.

Most people don't want to change course during uncertain times. I think Trump might somehow be able to successfully blame it on the Democrats.

I hope I'm wrong about this like I was wrong about this year's Warriors.

Obama was charismatic and inspired hope. Al Gore and John Kerry weren't those things. I think Joe is the same. Trump will keep calling Joe sleepy and he'll win.

I really feel you guys are under-selling how incompetent Trump and his team are.

This isn't going away entirely for a long time. The best way to fight it (while still maintaining an economy and way of life) is to mitigate to bring the numbers way way down.

Then when you open stuff back up you have insane levels of testing that can be completed within minutes (the new tests already do this). You rigorously test, break out the antibody tests to see exactly how many people have had it and our immune, and whenever a small outbreak pops up you quarantine everyone who came in contact with them immediately.

All of the above will take insane levels of competence and coordination. Trump and his team are going to fuck all of it up, and once they re-open we will have another massive outbreak that makes him look horrible and kills tons more.

Everyone assumes that Dems or Republicans sweep the election but I don't see that as a foregone conclusion at all.

I'm not even sure what Trump working with a Democratic Congress looks like. I'm p. sure I can imagine what Biden working with a Republican Congress would like and that's partly why we've got Trump!

I think this is actually impossible considering which Senate seats are up for election. This is exceedingly likely to be a winner take all election.
