I don’t want to be too optimistic but do you think it is more realistic that Trump pulls off the upset or Biden gets 400 electoral votes?

Trump's still letting you know that he plans to declare victory Tues, wait a tick for Fox News to declare it (ala 2000) and hope the other networks panic about being scooped (ala 2000) and declare Trump the winner too. Then the lawsuits begin as they move towards the Scotus or state electors to move the needle "officially".

--

Did y'all see that ABC in Michigan accidentally flashed their state election night results during this week's bachelor? Trump won with 50 percent of the vote. We can hope it was only a test of the graphics that went live and not something else.

----
The post office is mysteriously suffering delays in 3 swing states just as places like MN and WI are having their votes being ruled invalid much sooner than expected.

I'm hoping this causes more people to physically turn out to polling places and vote as a result if they haven't voted already. The only good news is that we're already at almost 60% of the 2016 Vote nationally and people seemed to be wiser/smarter to shady shit like this potentially going down.

I think a Trump upset is probably just a bit more likely than Biden getting 400. For Biden to get there, he'll have to flip back the blue states lost in '16 and then flip Ohio, Florida, and Texas. Not impossible but that's quite a reach. Trump doesn't have good odds of an upset either but, because of the outdated and dumb electoral college, he still just needs to win a few states by tiny margins again. Not likely, but slightly more possible than Biden getting 400.

I'm going to try and do the opposite and try my best to unplug. Not that I'm not going to look at updates but I'm going to try my damndest to be sober headed and not glued to political coverage. Pray for me, TRTSM.

This was interesting/concerning article from two pollsters from USC who predicted a Trump victory in 2016 who are predicting same this year.

I wish the media, instead of calling them 'shy,' would call them what they are: "ashamed voters." They know they're doing the wrong thing but they are choosing to do it anyway, entirely for bad reasons. Nothing 'shy' about it.

That same website also has this article on their front page:

I can't imagine voting with a feeling of shame. I've definitely voted for candidates that I wasn't excited about (in the recent past) but anything approaching a sense of shame? If you're voting ashamed, you should just not vote IMO.

That USC article is extra weird considering their own polling has had Biden up by around 10 for months.

Not factoring in Trump outright stealing the election, this basically comes down to what you think is more likely: Trump winning Pennsylvania or Biden winning Texas. Based on polls and turnout, it seems Biden winning Texas is the more likely to happen.

If there are shy voters, I think they are for Biden. And they would have legitimate reasons for that. They have seen the vindictiveness of Trump, the violence of his worshipers, the clear and visible acts of those for whom cruelty is the point. For fear of life, livelihood, home and family, they would have all too real justification for not answering pollsters' phone calls, not stating publicly who they're voting for, for keeping quiet about their disgust with the current president. If this demo exists, it will mean the current polls are only inaccurate in that Biden's support is even greater. And if that's the case, it's a popular and electoral landslide and, yes, Biden would pass 400.

The people who may not have voted in 2016 and are doing so in 2020 is clearly real.

Texas is officially over 100% of 2016 (over 9 Million votes). Washington is at 88%. Nevada and Oregon are at 82%. Montana is 91%. New Mexico is at 88%. Tennessee is at 82%.

Swing States: Georgia is 87%. North Carolina is 86%. Florida is 82%. Arizona is 80%. Wisconsin is at 58%. Iowa is at 54%. Michigan is at 50%. Ohio is at 46%. Pennsylvania is at 34%.

I'm almost done with my predictions. States I haven't decided on yet, either senate, president, or both: South Carolina, Iowa, Montana, and Texas.

I was talking to an older Jewish guy earlier who was shit scared to say they voted for Biden because I am both not a very small guy and I'm white. Once I realized why he was avoiding that part of the conversation I told him who I voted for.

There are perfectly rational reasons for Biden voters not to tell people who they're voting for. One of those reasons is because a Trump lover might kill you.

The fact that this second sentence isn't completely preposterous is why I always chuckle when I see MAGAts use the term, "Trump Derangement Syndrome." You would think that term ought to mean the exact opposite of what they use it for.

Speaking of Trumpers literally killing people, an Illinois judge has ordered the extradition of the boy who murdered 2 and wounded another in Kenosha WI. Still no charges for his mother, a new Republican Party darling, for driving her 17 year old son across sate lines with a machine gun to murder people.

I can't read that but I think I know what you're referring to. In the states/precincts in which they could potentially do that, guess what? When people turned up in 2018? They elected judges who can stop that in Texas. I ain't counting on anyone winning Texas or anything, I'm just saying. I think in Houston specifically they elected a 29 year old judge who ain't gonna play any of that shit. They elected secretaries of state and attorney generals who ain't gonna put up with that nonsense. Just to note, the Trump campaign doesn't actually have the money to do that. This is more of a signal by those lawyers to let party officials know they can do the party's dirty work. More relevant potentially in the future when an election would presumably be a lot closer? To actually get to the point of counting signatures, the margin of victory in these states would have to be so slim. In the range of a couple thousand at best.

FWIW they already tried some other stuff in Nevada and got slapped down. A GWB appointee there said that the Trump campaign has no legal standing to file lawsuits on behalf of Nevadans, or of their state government who has the power to monitor things like those signatures, etc. They also tried to make Nevada stop counting ballots and had their suit dismissed for the same reason. If Republicans don't completely hold consolidated power, as in every state office and huge majorities in the legislature, and/or judgeships too? They don't have the power to do any of this shit. People have got to relax. It is almost impossible to get rid of someone's vote when they've already made it. The Trump campaign is made up of complete hacks.
