I'm not a Michael Moore level optimist but I do think the media is overhyping the Republicans prospects. My hunch is it's going to be an inverse of 2018 with the Red wave being more of a ripple (as it had been with the predicted blue wave in 2018). I think Democrats do manage to barely hold onto the Senate.

I know Biden's still unpopular but I'm not seeing the doom and gloom for party as a whole. I mean there's a competitive gubernatorial race in Oklahoma for pete's sake!

If Dr. Oz *and* Herschel Walker become US Senators though, I think it's time that me and @BruiserBrody become neighbors with Jesse Ventura and move to Mexico.

Cautious optimism aside...not sure if it's great that the "go home" message from the most popular Democrat is "No moping!"

I'm in PA ...went and voted at 7 am this morning. Long line, huge turnout. Process was quick and easy though. Hopefully there will be enough votes like mine to keep Oz and Mastriano out of power. I think though it ends up Oz wins and Shapiro wins, which is basically splitting the difference. Fetterman's debate is going to sink him with undecideds sadly.

If Mastriano somehow wins though... I'm moving out of this state.

Voted ahead of time on Friday, just holding hope that Scott Jensen doesnt end up being governor of MN. Any of these alt-right figures in races here are worrisome that they are to the point of even being competitive in this state. Something to be said about rural ignorance around here the last few years particularly.
With friends like these, who needs enemies?
I still stand by my thought that years ago, she became a Russian agent of sorts, it just seems too weird otherwise why she would support the platform she is on, party aside. She's been infiltrating the Democratic party for years and then leaving them at the most opportune time....how convenient. Further proof in who's she has been aligning herself with since she "left" the left.

I sent in my absentee ballot weeks ago.

I'm glad Maine is a relatively sane bastion. I've been wrong about this before (see my post about 2010 and 2014).

MA passed Questions 1 (Millionaire Tax), 2 (Dental Licensing), No on 3 (Expanding Business Liquor Licenses IIRC), and Yes on 4 (Repeal Illegal Immigrants Getting Licenses). Only Question 2 has been called with the others all sitting around 53-55% for the leader with 80%+ in.

Maura Healey won, which was good to see.

Lauren Boebert is losing which I don’t think very many outside of her opponent’s campaign predicted.

Even if the Republicans hold onto the House, you got to consider this to be a pretty damn good night for the good guys.

Wisconsin stayed dumb, with thousands of people voting to reelect Evers as governor but falling for the TV ads & not voting for Barnes. Looks like we're keeping the worst senator in power. My congressional district is going with a republican for the first time in my voting lifetime, one of those Jan 6 softserve twits.

But, nationally, the republican celebrities might've only gone 1 for 3.

Last night could bode well for 2024. Trump will lash out even more after his losing streak continued last night.

I wonder if DeSantis starts gaining some serious head ground for 2024 considering he has turned a purple state pretty deep red and how mediocre to poor the Trump loyalists did.
