I think the sheer amount of women voting for Kamala, the Republicans voting for Kamala who are fed up with Trump, and the men who secretly will vote for Kamala will end up making this closer to the Obama/Romney election than the 2020 IMO.

There's also a big piece being underrepresented: "Voters in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York and South Dakota are weighing in on abortion." That's 4 swing states where women will definitely be turning out in higher numbers just to make sure abortion is legal. All it takes IMO is even 1/3rd (very very conservative) of them going for Kamala to possibly swing those states blues.

I would caution against using crowd size as a metric for election day. Yes, it can illustrate important aspects like energy, momentum, etc. But in the two prior presidential elections Trump did have large crowds (and some have been large this cycle) and still lost the popular votes each time. On the eve of the 2004 election John Kerry drew 80,000 people to a rally in Madison and lost.

So, it's a thing but not much more useful than the least useful polls.

The first midnight votes were split 3-3. That was the case in 2012 so maybe (hopefully) Harley's prediction will come true.

Twitter is INSANE with the Pro-Trump bias. Only tweets from people voting about Trump in my feed and only Trump hastags are trending. Elon really putting in the work to ensure his boy is elected.

If signature verification shit ever becomes a big thing I am fucked. I literally will leave out entire letters sometimes. My signature verification is that no person on earth can possibly replicate my insanity.

edit: yes I knew how to spell my name! I just suck at handwriting.

That's literally one of the things I was taught as a kid and learning cursive. Make your letter legible, but your signature inimitable.

Anyhoo...I voted. I was actually surprised at how the Harris/Walz camp just outside the polling place was twice the size of the Trump/Vance camp, and there were more signs for local office than the POTUS.

This is also the first time since 2008 where I voted Dem, also the first time since I turned 18 where I wasn't legally registered in a state that was destined to go blue. My vote actually mattered beyond state referendums this time.

People are dumb, people are scum, and when directly told "a vote for Trump is a vote against your daughters" they sold their little girls out.

I'm not going to dog on Harris. Her and Walz were the most invigorating Dem ticket since 2012. The DNC needs to see this wakeup call, though, and start building up new blood.

Like...what in the absolute FUCK, man? Does most of the country WANT to see a repeat of the COVID bullshit? Do they WANT to see higher prices for everything?

"It'll bring then jobs back home"
NO. IT WON'T. IT NEVER HAS. THIS ISN'T 1955 ANYMORE, THAT WORLD IS GONE.

I won't be at all surprised if allegations of fraud turn out to be fruitful, but I'm not hedging my bets on it.

Fair warning to @Fall of Epic if he starts the 2028 thread tomorrow I'll probably go nuts.

It was a moment that encapsulated one of the biggest challenges facing her campaign – which, in the end, proved insurmountable.

“What, if anything, would you have done something differently than President Biden during the past four years?” co-host of ABC’s “The View” Sunny Hostin asked Harris, looking to give her a set for her to spike over the net.

“There is not a thing that comes to mind,” she said.
