2028 Election

I like the choice of AOC in theory but I'd be cautious in expecting another Barack Obama style win in the 2028 Election. I think it'd be closer but also fear a repeat of 2016 (when Hillary got her doors blown off in a result that almost mirrored 2024). Barack really carried the Midwest with Biden narrowly taking Michigan/Minnesota/Wisconsin in 2020.

It will be interesting to see how it goes with a non-Donald Trump as candidate on the Republic side as I do think there'd be less... international electoral interference and less credibility issues in general regarding the accuracy/credibility of the voting. It'd also be interesting to see if there's a greater Republican/GOP split with a candidate who's a bit more centrist & not as extreme (if they go that route).

Wait, we're assuming a 2028 election is still happening or will be remotely legitimate?
 
They're not election cycles anymore. They're seasons. If he wants to stream another entertaining season in 2028, so be it.
 
Addenum-will Trump even be able to run in 2028? I already said this in the "Trump administration" thread, but he's more incoherent than ever-like at Biden levels or even worse. He likely needs assistance eating. He will still be alive by then (or at least I think he will be), but his current condition isn't improving anytime soon.

And? Dictators have been propped up well beyond their actual ability to do anything before. As long as he can wear a suit and appear to stand for long enough to say a few bigoted things he'll be considered the apex of manhood by his cult. No one will care when he says "but I thought I'd let (blank) say more" and lets them do the vast majority of the speaking. It will be hailed by the regime as a case of true leadership through allowing others to have the spotlight. What a great Dear Leader, to let others get some shine.

Remember, this fucker was at fuckin' death's door in 2020 and they pumped everything on Earth possible into him to prevent it while putting out BS pictures of him "still getting work done in the hospital."

Covid actually tried to save the world but failed. The worst of the worst would have been weeded out in a time of lesser medical technology with their refusal to protect themselves.
 
Yeah, and? 2028 was never going to be legitimate and anyone who thinks so is a fucking idiot. This charlatan will be shown to win 60-65% of the popular vote and every state except the ones he hates, so New England and California will show up blue and that's it. I have no faith whatsoever in 2028.
 
AOC could absolutely beat Vance. Maybe not a stomping but I can for sure see her beating him. He has no appeal whatsoever to anyone but the most extreme margins of society. Trump has a unique charisma that none of these other guys around him do.
 
AOC is one of the most popular people in government and has been for years. Her stances on many issues are popular with most Americans. Both parties have elected women and other minorities in large numbers. There's no reason she can't be President.
 
Erika Kirk also made a point of promising to elevate Vice President JD Vance — who will close the event on Sunday — to the White House in 2028. Vance leads early polls of the likely GOP field.
