I like the choice of AOC in theory but I'd be cautious in expecting another Barack Obama style win in the 2028 Election. I think it'd be closer but also fear a repeat of 2016 (when Hillary got her doors blown off in a result that almost mirrored 2024). Barack really carried the Midwest with Biden narrowly taking Michigan/Minnesota/Wisconsin in 2020.
It will be interesting to see how it goes with a non-Donald Trump as candidate on the Republic side as I do think there'd be less... international electoral interference and less credibility issues in general regarding the accuracy/credibility of the voting. It'd also be interesting to see if there's a greater Republican/GOP split with a candidate who's a bit more centrist & not as extreme (if they go that route).
