Private Party is back after a year hiatus. Their tag title reign wasn't very good and they got squashed by Hurt Syndicate but happy to see them again.

Yeah, this is a credibility tanker. There are lots of important people you could ask to find out if this was true. Clearly none of them are his sources, he doesn't have an important source in the company.
 
This is one of the reasons I don't consider Dave a journalist in the traditional sense. A traditional journalist would reach out to to AEW, WBD, Brody King, etc for comment on the record for reporting something like this. They would say in their report that they did so and if they responded. Dave doesn't do this. He relies entirely on anonymous sources. That's great for a dirtsheet but if you want to be considered a serious journalist you need to have another level too.

Throwing this out there, but if you aren't putting the TOP CONTENDER FOR THE WORLD TITLE on your flagship program, even in a pre-tape, then you're failing at promoting an event.

This is fair up to a point but they promoted the match all night with video packages which included Brody, and they weren't going to top the sell job they did last week. They needed to concentrate on setting up the rest of the card which they did a great job on. MJF/Brody has already sold itself, trying to do more risked hurting it IMO.
 
Last thing TK probably needs is his buddy dave creating false narratives that WBD and AEW have issues with each other when things are already cloudy about their future.

Fair enough...but then again, they've had two months with 8 hours of first-run TV a week to already do that.
