AEW 2026: Year Seven

That's a massive bummer for Penelope too. She looked so upset in the footage I saw. She just came back from an injury that kept her off Blood And Guts, and now she probably misses a tag title run with Bayne because of this.

People online are knocking Harley Cameron for not being in the right position to catch her. She's still fairly green and rough around the edges in the ring.

Really too bad about Ford as I think she's been really great with Bayne. At least they just added a third person to their act so Bayne has someone else to team with and shouldn't be too hurt by Ford being unavailable.

Ishii Vs Andrade and ProtOkada Vs Top Flight both look great.

I really liked the Brawling Birds promo on Dynamite. Just two birds who like to cuss and drink pints. So much better than Hayter's previous Mod gimmick.

Alvarez says it's just an ankle sprain and she should be good to go in a few weeks at least. It looked pretty bad in the live footage I saw.
 
At least someone still wants this shit to look real, good job Harley.

Yeah not a good look. Willow was trying to get to her, but it was so sudden.

Honestly, Penelope should probably just not use the moonsault to the outside anymore. I think this is the second time someone failed to catch her on it and it's such a dangerous spot.
 
Harley can do nothing wrong so it was clearly something else.

Sault is probably a little old to be JDFromNewYork (I think that's right) but it also wouldn't surprise me at all. If we found out he was one of the big twitter trolls it would in no way be surprising.
 
I love Okada just taking unsolicited passive aggressive shots at Takeshita, he should work them into every promo he has.

Also love his joy about teaming with Kyle Fletcher.

Re: Harley / Penelope, it looked to me like Harley was moving to the side so Penelope could land between her & Willow, but that she overestimated how much room to give for Penelope to land. Penelope is *supposed* to land on her feet when doing that moonsault.
 
Danhausen (yes, he was still working there) is gone from AEW. There's a rumor that he's in the giant crate that will be revealed during Elmitation Chamber tomorrow.
 
BOTH Kevin Knight promos were solid as hell. Get him the fuck away from Speedball as soon as possible.

Ciampa/Lethal was exactly what I expected from a Jay Lethal match not involving Samoa Joe or his Macho Man impression. A generic TV match where Lethal's inability to do more than string basic offense and hope people are into it. At least Ciampa won.
 
I'll defend Danhausen to a point because AEW was absolutely not the place for that gimmick and he wasn't booked to stand out like was in ROH or wherever because he was overexposed and it didn't translate. Less is more with him and I'll die on that hill. That said I expect everything that made him not work in AEW to happen tenfold in WWE for the same reasons and he's already damaged goods. I just hope his wife still hits the strip clubs when she's in town.

I'm not really a fan of him, but I get why-his gimmick works better in smaller promotions (think ROH before Tony bought it) and people who also frequent things like horror conventions (someone like Shotzi-who seems to be much happier since getting future endevore'd-fits this bill too, though Rhea does from a more mainstream perspective). Him appearing on something like "Joe Bob's Last Drive-In"* makes sense. In a larger promotion, the gimmick doesn't translate as well.

*This reminds me of when Jericho was on there, though the movie he picked was "Bloodsucking Freaks", which is vile even by horror/exploitation standards. Yes, I own it on 4K/Blu.
