Wrestling Classics sounds awesome now, though.

What's Warner going to do when Punk gets so pissy he starts no-showing Collision?

TK just gonna tell Brody King to lose some weight and see how long they can pass him off as CM Punk before anyone at Warner notices.

While they never explicitly said it, it certainly seems that way. I…kinda dig it? They’ve been building to a Mox-Cassidy match for a month, although I don’t think having it headline a PPV was the original intention. As a matter of fact, before all hell broke loose this week, this was allegedly the planned main event for All Out, per Fightful:

Punk vs Ricky Starks

Maybe AEW still has an ace up its sleeve for Collision, but setting a PPV main event 24 hours before the show seems like a terrible idea.

Mox/Cassidy should've happened on the actual international show. Stadium Stampede was great but it felt like a misstep with those two.

Haven't caught the show and have no idea what happened but they should just hotshot MJF and Cole/FTR as the main event.

FTR is teaming with the Bucks to face BC Gold. I thought the show was pretty good but you can tell a lot of people didn't show because of the hurricane. They were playing with scraps.

they had apretty great show given the people i thought wouldn't be there with the funeral, potential injuries and the hurricane tbh.

It's way too soon to do FTR Vs Cole/MJF IMO. They don't need to rush to that. The match they're doing on the PPV with Cole/MJF isn't great but its all part of continuing the angle and will make most of the fanbase happy. They're obviously building something with Strong entering the tournament they were talking about.

This is the card right now. It's not loaded by any means but there's a lot of good shit on here.

Luchasauarus Vs Darby Aliin
Miro Vs Hobbs
Statlander Vs Ruby
OC Vs Mox
Omega Vs Takeshita
BCG Vs FTR/Bucks
Joe Vs Shane Taylor
Eddie/Shibata Vs Claudio/Yuto
Cole/MJF Vs Dork Order (Reynolds/Silver)
Ricky Starks Vs Steamboat (????)

The big thing was Ricky Starks is challenging Steamboat to a STRAP MATCH for the PPV on Collision. Do they go through with it or does a babyface (Sting being the obvious and most awesome option) step in for Steamer?

Last nights show was ok given the circumstances. Eddie vs Yuta was good, Toni Storm in her current role is great, OC vs Penta was great but I thought the finish was really weak.

Other than that...thought most of the rest of the show was middle of the road at best, but given what they had to work with can't complain too much.

Also I wasn't ordering All Out regardless cause I'm not dropping 50$ too weeks in a row, but the card is super underwhelming to me. It's basically a glorified battle of the belts/Dynamite. It will have good wrestling I'm sure, but not worth the $ at least to me.

Sunday is my wife’s birthday, so I am probably not going to be watching the show regardless.

For those of you who were considering it but were turned off by spending $50 for a second straight week—a valid complaint!—I would note that using a VPN to set your location to Australia and ordering through the Fite app for $20 might be more palatable. Or so I’ve heard. Allegedly.

Crikey.

Yeah. The fact that they are running another PPV on 10/1, in addition to Full Gear in mid November and in addition to the the PPV we had last week makes me think that Tony Khan has zero qualms about treating this as a secondary/tertiary PPV.

Relative last minute nature of All Out makes me think that NEXT year will be the year that he makes All In/All Out their multi night flagship card.

We gonna watch this footage like the zapruder film.

Strap matches are the easiest for a really old wrestler to pull off. As long as you can take the whipping to the back you don’t have to take any bumps. Might bleed too but that’s just blading. I’d like to see Steamboat do this and retire.

Do a tag title rematch of MJF/Cole vs FTR with the stip that if MJF and Cole lose they can never team again. Obviously under normal circumstances it would be too soon for that stipulation but since they’ve treated this whole storyline like a joke it could work because if they lost everyone would know that the break up angle was coming. But they should win the titles and keep spinning the wheels for a while.
OK this obviously isn't happening at All Out but I still think it's the direction they should go with. I would drag out the MJF/Cole stuff as long as possible - maybe into the new year before the turn. During the Steamboat-Starks match at the PPV, Taven and Bennett run in and try to help Ricky but MJF and Cole, having already defended their ROH belts earlier in the night, run out to even the odds and help Steamboat win. Then on Dynamite, Roddy goes to Matt and Mike and he's like "wtf since when are you guys friends with Ricky Starks." And they're like "hey we can be friends with whoever we want." Then MJF and Cole recruit Roddy to their side with the power of friendship and they win the trios belts, which they then defend vs Starks/Taven/Bennett. The three of them can go on a quest to win every men's belt in the company, leading to fun matches with Joe, Claudio, Hook, and Moxley (who I assume will beat OC on Sunday.) Maybe through Starks you can find a way to work Punk and his "real" world title somewhere in there if and when he comes back. You should be able to get a few months out of that.

I don't know if any of these ideas are good but the point is that when you have something that's over and draws ratings, you have to milk it until everyone is tired of it. That's the story of current WWE and really any successful promotion prior to the Attitude Era. I hope Tony has the patience and restraint to see it through.

FAKE EDIT: Oh and I forgot to the winner of Darby vs Luchasaurus in the title thing. They have too many belts.

It might be too late but I really just want Joe and MJF to do something.

I kinda feel bad for Jack now tbh. For months people say he has to do something to separate himself from every other generic heel. He tries to, he tries to explain himself and gets yammed in the face for it.
