Danhausen's wife is at a local strip club tonight. Debating going in case there's a scoop.

According to Fightful AEW and WBD have already prepared promotional materials for the new deal. It should be announced today/tonight.

Update: Fightful Select and Beyond the Bell have learned that AEW Dynamite and Collision will be simulcast on Max starting in January.

There will be some integration of AEW PPVs for MAX subscribers, though we aren't sure if those are included with a subscription or discounted.

Early indications were that TruTv and AEW Rampage weren't included in the upcoming announcement.

Curious to see if AEW shows will be available on Max’s main tier or if they will be part of the sports add-on. The sports package is still free for now, but WBD keeps saying it will begin charging an extra $9.99 a month for it sooner than later.

Also (tech nerd stuff ahead): The NBA and other sports simulcast on Max have started airing in full 1080p with Dolby Vision. If you have a decent TV, it’s noticeably better than what you get on cable (1080i upconverted, SDR, with a signal compressed by the provider). It would be nice if we get that for AEW.

At work and can't really post, but I'd assume there'd be talk about WWE's exclusivity agreement with markets they run and how it has surely hampered AEW..

Does that mean the old shows are going up too?

I thought this was a really strong show. The Ospreay/Ricochet finish was a little wonky but they went over 15 minutes and it was all very good until then and they still left a ton on the table for the future. It also finally gave us Takeshita going after Ospreay to massive heel heat.

There was a lot more angles tonight than usual too. I'm happy to see the MVP storyline developing quickly with him bringing in Shelton and trying to recruit Mercedes.

Okada/Danielson was great. I really loved the pacing of the match. The angle with Mox's guys has really made the main event scene so much more interesting.

Private Party getting a push is probably overdue but I continue to not care about the Bucks at all. Christopher Daniels needs to stop being an authority figure because that angle just isn't working. Jericho also continues to be a lowlight. Mark Briscoe did a good job but I didn't think Jericho bringing up Jay got the right kind of heat at all and it's a total nothing program. If you're going to do THAT it should be for something better.

Not sure if this was known before but WBD has an equity stake in AEW.

Really fun show to be at in person.

There we're two injuries during the ROH tapings tonight. Sammy Guevara being the big one.

Something happened on a top rope cutter type move and he landed kind of weird. It seemed innocent enough when it happened but there immediately stopped the match and he didn’t move for a bit and got stretchered out.

The other injury was to a local talent that fit kneed in the face by lady frost off a top rope twisting moonsault type of move. She got knocked out cold and also stretchered out.

Ricochet/Ospreay was incredible. Crowd ate up everything they did. Bit of a wonky finish but it lead into the Takeshita angle.

Okada/Danielson also great. Just two guys doing what they do best. Picked up big time towards the end.

Jericho stuff sucks live and in person too.

We were on tv a lot with where we were sitting. Should be interstate to go back and watch myself look like an idiot.

Overall a fun night of wrestling in person. We left after Dynamite ended since it ran long. Didn’t stay for Rampage.

FTR and the Outrunners are gold together, and when FTR turns on them it's going to be fantastic. Word is AEW is very high on them (rightfully so) and plan to push them. Takeshita is also finally due for a big push. A lot of why he hasn't before now was due to commitments to DDT but I'm glad they're finally pulling the trigger.

we were shitting on Spokane all night for you don't worry.

Good show and the main event was fun. I don't know if it was intended but Wheeler reaching out for Bryan while Bryan was doing his taunt felt like it could "mean" something.

I mean maybe it's my being just hateful but any city that had actual fans go on about how New Day was "a monkey act" just deserve nothing of quality. I love that PNW talent is running things right now but man, fuck Spokane.

I'll get to the rest of the show but this is probably the most across the board I've liked AEW in a long time. Once the Bucks bullshit ends it'll be peak.

That episode of Dynamite just felt…weird. Different night, different time. Jarrett on commentary. Random returns for Jake the Snake and Penelope Ford. Randomly thrown together women’s 4-way (OK, that one wasn’t their fault). Multiple new storylines starting on what is supposed to be a go-home show for a PPV.

Speaking of which, I’m lukewarm on the card for WrestleDream, although I am really curious to see the direction they go with the main event. I lean toward Moxley going over, but either guy winning would not surprise me.

Apparently the hurricane caused issues and had to do a rewrite of the show which explains in addition to the dog shit town they ran why the show felt off.

AEW having small crowds isn’t new or an issue for the home viewer but a deader than most crowds audience drained the show of any energy it hoped to have.

They also blew thru two big shows so it’s okay to have a maintenance show

Mariah's been killing it. Women's division is a total joy even if Mercedes hasn't done it for me.

You know who I wish Jake was managing instead? Hangman. Hangman needs a cobra.

Most entitled fans I've ever come across. Not just wrestling either. Bigoted and entitled. I can bash that town forever.
