What's really sad is New Girl is renewed and it may end the year behind The Mindy Project, which also probably shouldn't have been renewed. Right now they are tied at ratings that would put them in the same boat with Community on NBC. Glee they had no choice, they dug that grave themselves.

To put New Girl in perspective...it is 0.1 rating points above Supernatural in the 18-34.
Even worse? Only .17 ahead of it in Viewers. That's a 9 year old CW show nearly beating what is supposed to be the strongest comedy Fox has.

Glee, it lost to Supernatural by 0.1 and it almost lost to The Originals, which finished just a tenth behind it.

Fox right now is slowing turning into NBC's little brother of suck.

That's until Hannibal is cancelled. (No I'm not saying NBC has pulled it, but ratings aren't very good).

Lesser rated shows have a better chance when the critics love them. Community and Arrested Development are examples of that.

They also don't pay for the entire production costs which is the only reason it was back this year. Ratings aren't as important for the show because it's cheap and they get the critical acclaim for something.

Hard to get on board with any show on FOX when they notoriously cancel shows midway through Season 1 or only air 1 season at best before axing them. Feels like it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Still bitter over Alcatraz

Enlisted is a damned shame. It was entirely silly and plenty of fun. Oh, and it had Keith David in a role that would have surely resulted in more zaniness as the show went on.

Surviving Jack had a terrible pilot, and I barely checked out an awful episode of Dads.

Thank GOD, Bloodlines was such a shitty backdoor pilot of a show. It was just painful to sit through and had no business being called a spin-off of Supernatural. Of all the things that COULD have been a spin off, that was NOT one.

I thought it would be about those kid hunters, instead it was about a familes of monsters in a dumb ass mafia style Romeo and Juliet story.

Also, "Beauty and the Beast" got renewed for a third season. This amuses me because 1.) It's one of the poorest rated shows on the network, yet is only coming back because it's really easy and cheap to produce, and 2.) TV By the Numbers kept obsessing over it getting cancelled, even to the point that they wrote articles mocking the show's fans. "Heart of Dixie" and "The 100" were also renewed. Next up for them: "The Flash" and "iZombie." And a show about artificial insemination called "Jane the Virgin."

"American Idol" was renewed for a 14th season for some reason.

Jesus Christ, that was going to be their spin off? I could think of at least 5 other random episodes that could be spun off into pilots that would be better than that shit.

Yep, THAT shit was the spin-off. I couldn't delete it fast enough and it will be an instant skip on the season set.
