Bale's Wayne is brilliant because he's basically doing Patrick Bateman.DorianB said:I just remember Clooney's smile as he was telling Robin that Alfred was dying of McGregor's Syndrome. To me, Clooney never looked crazy enough to play Bruce Wayne. Michael Keaton had that mixture of a nice guy and a guy that could be a little deranged, it was perfect for a tycoon that moonlights as a bat. Bale has that mix as well, even Kilmer had it a little. Clooney just looked normal to me.
Wikipedia said:Robin appeared in the script, but was deleted due to too many characters. Waters and Burton feel Robin is "the most worthless character in the world, especially with [Batman as] the loner of loners." Robin started out as a juvenile gang leader, who becomes an ally to Batman. Robin was later changed to a black teenager who's also a garage mechanic.[5] Waters explained, "He's wearing this old-fashioned garage mechanic uniform and it has an 'R' on it. He drives the Batmobile, which I notice they used in the third film!" Marlon Wayans was cast, and signed for a sequel. Wayans had attended a wardrobe fitting, but it was decided to save the character for a third installment.
Wayans was originally cast as Robin in the 1992 film Batman Returns, however it was felt that the film featured too many characters, so the character was omitted from that film. He was considered for the role in the 1995 sequel Batman Forever, but the change in directors from Tim Burton to Joel Schumacher would also mean a change in the choice of actor for the role of Robin. Despite not actually appearing in either film, he was reportedly still paid for the role. He was replaced by Chris O'Donnell.

ComingSoon.com said:Warner Bros. Pictures has hired X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds to play the title role in the anticipated Green Lantern, scheduled for a June 17, 2011 release.
Based on the DC Comics hero, the action-adventure will be directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye) and produced by Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti. Berlanti wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.
The Hollywood trades say that Reynolds and his camp entered negotiations for the part Friday, after the studio held two rounds of screen tests, along with actors Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. Justin Timberlake also did a screen test. The studio had holding options on the actors, but, except for Reynolds, those expired Monday. Reynolds' option would have expired end of day Friday.
Production is expected to begin in January.
The "Green Lantern" was created in 1940 by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell. Introduced in 1959, Hal Jordan is a second-generation test pilot, an ordinary man who was given the power ring and battery (lantern) by a dying alien named Abin Sur. When Abin Sur's spaceship crashed on Earth, the alien used his ring to seek out an individual to take his place as Green Lantern: someone who was "utterly honest and born without fear."
Reynolds will be the only actor to have played heroes for both Marvel and DC. He recently starred in Fox's "Wolverine," in which he played Wade Wilson/Deadpool. The character is now being developed for a spin-off to which Reynolds is attached. He also played Hannibal King in Blade: Trinity.
The actor will next star in Buried, a dark indie drama that will begin filming shortly in Barcelona with Spanish director Rodrigo Cortes. Reynolds will play a civilian contractor who is kidnapped in Iraq and awakes in a coffin, struggling against time to coordinate a rescue even though he doesn't know where he's buried in the desert.

Batman & Robin. People just didnt get it. There were so many subtle messages, and deep meaning to the film. For instance Mr Freezze experienced tragedy with the illness of his wife and in resulted in him becoming a "cold" person emotionally and physically (such symbolism). Poison Ivy was meant to show a reverse on the way humans are polluting wildlife and killing plants. Since it was a plant lady exterminating humans. It really makes you take a step back and think. The bat nipples were meant to demonstrate the more human side of the dark knight since robin became his partner. It is an expression of how his relationship with his new partner has relieved him of the darkness in his life and brought him into the light. Mr Freeze creating a gun that freezes an entire city, a commentary how all people experience times when their hearts are frozen. And batman using a telescope to revert the sun back to Gotham to thaw all the people is a testament to how love (which is symbolized by the sun) can heal anybody who is cold hearted. The film even delved into our societys economic values. The bat credit card obviously symbolized capitalism. It is probably one of the most perfectly made films of our generation. I am in awe every time i see have the honor of getting the chance to view it. Thank you Joel Schumacher
