Hell of a fight. Like a Foreman-Lyle of the junior welters. And the ref missed a knockdown of Baranchyk early in the 2nd.

117-111, Lopez. A couple of 50/50 rounds there that could have swung a couple more for Loma but I felt that even in some of the rounds where he landed good strikes it was all he did for the entire round.
 
Anthony Joshua looked good today. Hopefully we get some superfights, maybe even with crowds, next year.

Sometimes I like boxing as an artform. Many more times, though, I like it as a pure fight.
 
I was impressed that he got up and didn't get buzzed again. Thing is 135 is a stacked division and there's a couple guys in it who could beat the hell out of him if they were able to tag him like that.
 
I hope DAZN can make some of those superfights happen. I'd love to see him fight Davis, Haney, etc.
 
I get the young De La Hoya comparisons but that bodypunch reminded me of another relic from the 1990s: Roy Jones's ko of Virgil Hill on HBO.
 
Best prospect in the sport Vergil Ortiz comes back against former beltholder Maurice Hooker on March 20th. That's a big step up.
