I've come to the conclusion that I don't care for J. Geils Band.
Fun Thread Killer Trivia Facts:
1) The very first time The Thread Killer ever went record shopping when he was a wee lad of 11 years old in the year 1981, he brought three items:
- The LP “Back in Black” by AC/DC
- The LP “Escape” by Journey
- The 45 Single “Centerfold” by The J. Geils Band
2) When she found it, The Thread Killer’s Mother broke the Centerfold 45 single into pieces and threw it in the trash because it was about pornography and naked ladies. The Thread Killer didn’t actually care, because after listening to that single a bunch of times, he had gotten really sick of it already.
(In retrospect, The Thread Killer is unsure of how a song about pornography equates to actual pornography, but this was the early 80s, the age of the moral majority, and at 11 years old The Thread Killer was in no position to make that argument. Maybe he will call Mama Thread Killer tomorrow and make the argument now, and demand financial compensation, including interest.)
42 years later, he unapologetically still loves Back in Black and “Don’t Stop Believin” and fuck you if you don’t.
3) Absolutely none of you were alive when any of this happened.
