I like it, but it's probably my least favorite song on Sticky Fingers.

Woah, woah, woah.

'Sway' is the best Stones song ever and a case could be made for about half of the other tracks but you honestly prefer like 'You Gotta Move' to 'Wild Horses'? What.

Now that I've thought about it, "Wild Horses" is definitely better than "I Got the Blues."

Sorry, I still get tired of "Bohemian Rhapsody." "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions": forget about it! "Killer Queen" is still nice to hear but it's not going to make me keep it on the station. "Under Pressure" will still draw me in, though.

And yes, "Paint It Black" is right up there in the "classic rock staples that I will never tire of" hall of fame.

I'm never sure if people under the age of 30 besides myself like Queen ironically or unironically. Guessing it's the former. Last thing I purchased at FYE back in like '05/'06 was a Queen Live DVD and the teenagers behind me in line laughed at me. :'(

Queen and U2 were arguably my two favorite bands in high school and I barely listen to either anymore. I still enjoy Queen but man, my friends gave me tons of shit for being a huge U2 fan at one time. Which is weird because U2 isn't even in the Top 10 of bands I've publicly admitted to enjoying.

I think U2 is becoming the new version of The Doors in term of being an iconic, critically revered over earnest rock band that it's becoming cool to hate for various reasons.

So glad Alfie revealed his dislike for Queen in here so that others will know as well as I do how worthless his opinions on music are. ;D

Queen was the only thing that 99.9% of my high school chorus classmates in the mid '00s listened to besides musical theater, that's got to be worth some---eh, not really.

Potentially unpopular suggestion for Best Classic Rock Song Ever..."Life's Been Good" by Joe Walsh.

I like "Under Pressure," too, because I pretend it's really a David Bowie song.

My list so far:

"Comfortably Numb"
"Born to Run"
"Paint It Black"
"Under Pressure"

Oh man. I am inclined to put "Jump" on here...

"Under Pressure" is one of the GOAT classic rock songs, in my book. It does sound more like Bowie than Queen really though.

Also after BUTT's post, I looked up how many fans of Queen I had as friends on Facebook and there were 58! I expected a few more than Kreese but not twenty times more!

Yeah, "Immigrant Song" counts.

Radio had just ruined Zeppelin and AC/DC for me.

Anything by Led Zeppelin definitely constitutes as a classic rock song. They're like the band I think of when I think of classic rock. Of course, Portland's classic rock station is WBLM: The Blimp and the logo is a ripoff of the cover of Led Zeppelin I plus they air the 30 minute Zep Set every night.

Well, them and AC/DC. #1 and #2. Rolling Stones are a solid #3 but I can't rank 'em any higher since they're halfway in the oldies bracket as well. The Who and Jimi Hendrix round out the Top 5 IMO.

With Queen, it's all about "Don't Stop Me Now" and I loved that song way before Shaun of the Dead.

They never play "Don't Stop Me Now" on the radio, at least not around here.

The only Bowie song I ever heard on classic rock radio with any sort of regularity was "Suffragette City."

"Don't Stop Me Now" gets played maybe once every three to six months on the local classic rock station. About the same amount as KISS' "I Was Made For Loving You".

One of my friends on Facebook, for whatever reason, brought up Golden Earring. What a weird band. Two hit wonder but both hits are probably in My Top 10 GOAT Classic Rock Songs ("Radar Love" and "Twilight Zone") and they sound completely different from each other (not to mention that they were recorded ten years apart).

The only Bowie song I ever heard on the radio was "Changes" but funny enough, I took a road trip through the midwest three years ago and heard "Ashes To Ashes" on one of the local stations in Kansas.

How has this thread gone on for two pages without mentioning the song that embodies all the qualities that make classic rock what it is?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl4dEAtxo0M

This song IS classic rock. Not even close.
