Good freaking GOD! WHAT A LINEUP!

I don't think my brain could process Amon Amarth following Sabaton. That's just too much.

I've been listening to the new Sabaton album a lot lately. It's so damn good

It's my #1 for the year at this point, easily. To Hell and Back, Resist and Bite and Ballad of the Bull are my favorites.

12 year old me woulda been psyched for a solo, acoustic evening with Art Alexakis. 2014 me wondered if I could get free tickets for a half second before I realized I was going to a W. Kamau Bell show down the street that night. Bah. Really wanted to hear that solo rendition of "Santa Monica".

Days of the New is also doing a show at Asylum. It's still 1998 in Portland, Maine!

Not only is Macklemore doing a concert here but of course he is doing it at a goddamn mall.

Some chick that reports to me asked me for time off to camp out for tickets and I had her ask someone that shouldn't be making the choice because I didn't want to be involved with any of that bullshit.

Not sure if I want to see Pig Destroyer in December. I have a feeling most of the set will be new stuff and I hate their doom output.

Ghostface Killah coming to town- awesome.

Ghostface Killah coming to town at one of the shadiest venues in one of the most remote areas of Toronto- not so awesome.

Nope. That place has a ridiculously high ratio of shootings/stabbings after concerts and it's a bitch to get to by transit and the line for cabs is insane.

I'm channeling Haws Bah Gawd with this post but I was listening to the local alt rock station the other day and they had a HUGE announcement for a show coming up this winter. Perhaps dumbly, I was mildly intrigued and it turned out the HUGE show was Bush and Theory of a Deadman at the Central Maine Civic Center. I was like Da Faq?

First off, those bands are big enough to play a 4,000 seat junior ice hockey seat arena? Bush couldn't sell out the 1,4000 seat theater in Portland last year and even though Theory of a Deadman has been a rock radio staple for over a decade, I don't think I could identify one of their songs if you offered me $100. But then again, this show isn't in Portland, it's forty minutes away in Lewiston where butt rock is probably more popular.

You're right. Not a HUGE announcement.

Depending on prices, I'd give that show a chance though.

Bought tickets to see Foo Fighters in July at Citi Field. I've been wanting to see them for a long time. I was a big Nirvana fan and moved over to Foo after they debuted. Stoked big time!

So I met Lil Debbie last night. I don't mind her stuff, though sometimes I don't know if it's meant to be serious or parody. Especially the stuff with Riff Raff. Either way she's cute and my friend wanted to go so we sprung for VIP passes.

The show itself was pretty good and had a weird range of people attending.. hipsters, bros, hip hop dudes, Canadian cholas (yes they exist), ratchets, a shit ton of white girls with really bad randomly placed tattoos, and then what looked like someones grandparents. Only one fight broke out, between two white dudes. Some fat bald dude punched some fat ginger kid (wearing a Workaholics 'tight butthole' shirt) in the face and broke his glasses in half which was a pretty hilarious visual.. almost as funny as, after the bouncers dragged the bald guy away, was the fat ginger blindly stumbling around shrieking that "HE BROAK MAH GLASSESSSS" over and over again.

Debbie herself was super nice in person and hung out for a loooong time after the show to talk, sign and take photos with the VIP pass holders even though there was only about 20 of us. Her non-performing voice is not at all what I thought it would be. Either way, good times. I didn't get home until 3am, and then was up again at 6am for work. UGH.

Another concert announcement from the local alt rock station that reminded me of Haws Bah Gawd post; Godsmack, Seether, and Papa Roach playing the Bangor Waterfront together in May.

Might be the biggest rock show in Maine of 2003!

...so Amy Winehouse didn't actually die, she just bleached her hair and started "rapping"?
To be fair, that's a super bad early photo that someone has on her Wiki entry, for whatever reason..

Not sure why rapping in quotes.

Driving to work today, I saw a billboard that the lounge of one of the local casinos is going to have a free show a few days after Christmas of Aaron Lewis.

This means I can watch the show and off myself before 2014 ends because life will be complete.

Vanilla Ice and I think Aaron Carter played free shows at the Hard Rock Casino in Fort Lauderdale at some point. That's gotta be the lowest of the low on the totem pole. You suck so bad people won't even have to pay to see you!

Local alt rock station's concert announcement today...ALIEN ANT FARM.

Also to reference back to Ed's post above me....a friend of a friend banged Aaron Carter after he did a show at some faux country roadhouse in one of the exurbs of Portland.
