I feel like Jericho is extra ambitious to do all the stuff he would have never been allowed to do in WWE. Like, no way in hell they let him do this even if the topics weren't even as controversial of Benoit.

Curious if there is any footage of people back in bed with WWE like Bruce Prichard, since they were working on these back when the first ones aired. Granted, Prichard never openly gave a non-WWE approved line even when he was on the out just curious since they are going to touch some of the the uber taboo stuff this time.

I am excited for these but don't want to get my hopes up. The ones I enjoyed most last time tended to be the topics I was less familiar with since stuff like the Screwjob, there never is anything new that comes out. So guessing I will be more enthralled with Dino Bravo that I know very minimal pieces on than stuff like Owen and Benoit as I don't feel like there will be much new information for my attention.

Pretty excited about this season of episodes. I really think the WWE really dropped the ball by not doing a Benoit documentary. It would be fascinating/sad/uncomfortable but I think if they went in on it they control some of the narrative and acting like he never happened is still pretty weird.

Meltzer said he wasn't used for the Benoit episode because one of the producer's is a huge fan of Bruce Pritchard and his podcast and since Bruce regularly buries Dave on his show, the producer thinks he's a hack.

Watching tonight’s airing of the Benoit season premiere on my DVR right now. It seems this year comedian Chris Gethard is hosting an after show. It shows up in my DirecTV listings as “After Dark”. Looks like he has a panel of wrestlers on to talk after the show. Set that up to record now too.

I don’t buy this when they used the guy who wrote Ring of Hell. I could be mistaken but I thought most people considered that guy a hack whereas I heard mostly positive things when Meltzer recalled the incident with Jericho in recent years for a podcast.

Knowing what little I do know about Benoit's involvement in backstage hazing and bullying of younger wrestlers I eye-rolled pretty hard at all of the sentiments that he was this angel who everyone loved.

I'm watching the episode right now. Benoit had long been one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. I was a big fan of his dating back to when he was first brought in to WCW. I loved his style. The British Bulldogs were one of my favorite teams, so seeing him was like seeing Dynamite Kid all over again. This is the first time I've actually watched anything with Benoit since he killed his family and himself. I was beyond disgusted with what he did and couldn't bring myself to ever watch him again. This is a really hard episode to watch, and makes me even more angry at Benoit.

It seems like Vice went out of their way to cherry-pick wrestlers/people who would have a favorable opinion of Benoit but all of that could change in episode two. I'm sure there are non-WWE individuals out there would wouldn't have the best stories to tell.

Chavo describing Eddy's death hit me. I knew most of the other details shared, minus some of the abuse talk with Sullivan/Nancy/Benoit.

Fantastic stuff though seeing the sister and cops especially getting to say what they knew.

David Benoit saying "fuck it, he's still my dad and he's my hero" was what really got me. I mean, yeah he's your father and I'm sure he treated you well but doesn't his actions towards your stepmom and brother affect your view of him at all?

For some people, they love those people because of how they knew them. They like to cherish the part that they loved and not take a long look at the parts they hate. It also is sometimes the only way people can keep from having a part of themselves break.

This was hard to watch, but I think needs to be watched. Just for closure for some. For others to know why it happened.
