Peeing in water bottles instead of using the bathroom? He may have spent twice (thrice?) the amount of time in Hollywood as he has in the biz but our man is still a rassler at heart.

I guess my only issue is that things "that have been known for years" are all coming out at once now. I don't pay attention to any of this shit so maybe it's been out, but it feels like dumping on the guy. Said as someone who does not like him and finds him annoying.

But if one guy had to be the main character, it's Rock.

Damn, this was really sad to read. Love him or hate him, his perceived work ethic and humbleness was also great to see. I think as his 50s hit, he probably thought he can do whatever he wants and that he's earned it. Doesn't really work like that anymore.

A guy who feels entitled to have other people handle his pee is also a defender of McMahon...more at 11?

Sheds a lot of light on the Vin/Rock drama that was happening back then too when people thought Vin was simply jealous of Rock "taking over" the F&F franchise. Also, IMO, it explains why Rock isn't in a lot of big blockbusters because experienced producers and directors won't put up with that shit and you know that reputation has quickly followed Rock around.

"During production in the fall of 2020 on Netflix’s similarly titled “Red Notice,” Ryan Reynolds was so infuriated after waiting five hours for Johnson that they had a “huge fight,” according to insiders. Johnson then stormed off set. The two stars didn’t speak for years until they recently patched things up." Sounds like another Vin/Rock type drama/saga.

"Garcia wasn’t hired to run the unit, and Johnson and Seven Bucks were evicted from DC shortly after the hiring of James Gunn and Peter Safran to run the division. Additionally, former Superman actor Henry Cavill fired Dany Garcia as his manager as a result." This also sheds light on the 'Black Adam' stuff and why it didn't get a sequel beyond the box office stuff.

I’m just surprised that they didn’t sue him to get some of that money back. It certainly seems like they’d be entitled to it.

The article literally cites examples of this all being public for years before going in on this recent movie, which is the bulk of the article. How is this "dumping on the guy"?

Because dumping on him is in at the moment and I just find the timing funny. It isn't like I disbelieve it in the slightest.

I like how "he pees in bottles" is some sort of major insult when anyone that's ever been on a construction site for more than a day has done the same, at some point.

He was on a movie lot, not a construction site, and chose to use the bottle instead of a bathroom because it'd mean another person would have to handle it on his behalf.

One of the biggest examples of male privilege , for me at least, is how many ways you are able to pee outside of the main method.

I love peeing outdoors (my aim is too bad to master going in bottles) although it has its downfalls. Like the time I drunkenly pissed in an alley and turned around and noticed another drunk (presumably unhoused) gentlemen peeing right behind me.
Lotta kinkshaming going on

The way that article is written is incredibly obnoxious. It definitely comes across as a hit-piece to me. I even have seen other gossip sites like AV Club (and man is it sad that AV Club has degenerated intoa Gossip Site) refer to it as such while gleefully repeating it all. I'm sure a lot of it is true but some of it comes across as either common things that happen on sets, or contradictory.

Either way he comes off as incredibly out of touch and full of himself.

I worked construction and found those people disgusting. Some guys would piss in bottle and then throw them down the tower. Half of them would explode and everything would smell like urine for the next few days.

I pissed in a bottle once in my life. Long story short: I was in college, my roommate was taking a shower and I really had to go, and I found a bottle. Threw it away in a garbage can outdoors, and the whole experience was gross. Besides, I'm not pissing outside and risking getting caught.

I don't know why I shared this information.

My cousins and I had 3 pee jars hidden at first in one of the farm pole sheds and eventually in the ditch across the road from the farm house. We each had our own and would piss in it, then seal it up. I have no idea what our end game for this was other than "hurr hurr we got a pee jar!"

Scrapping cow shit and horse shit 2 or 3 times a day apparently desensitized us.

The best would be when a cow would lay in the manure and it would be all dry and crusty all over her side and you had to jam your face next to her to clean her teats and apply the milkers. Dream work.

Yeah my dads been doing it for 30 years. Better to do that than look for a pisser and take an extra 15-20 minutes getting home.

It’s a generational thing.

Again, peeing in a bottle isn't the problem. Doing it to make other people touch it out of privilege and entitlement is the problem there.
