In an interview filmed prior to Microsoft’s E3 2013 press briefing and published on GameTrailers, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick has addressed concerns about the compulsory connectivity requirements of Xbox One.

“"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it’s called Xbox 360,” said Mattrick.

“If you have zero access to the Internet, that is an offline device.”

Mattrick is aware of the kinds of gamers who’ll be missing out on Xbox One, and “absolutely” anticipated some blowback, but went on to reiterate he feels they have made the right call.

I watched a piece on The Division and it looks really cool. Ubisoft has these E3's down. That's two years in a row they're like...oh here's something you've never heard of running with actual gameplay that's awesome. Though this wasn't Watchdog's level holy shit...this company does E3 right.

I'm thinking of ordering a few games I might be interested in, and get that $40 price locked in now. I was kind of hoping to fit a The Last of Us pre-order in, but it seems like both shops may be "sold out" of that. Pretty sure it doesn't have to be games on that list; I've got Beyond, and NHL 14 in my cart at the discounted price. The deal does end today.

I could do without the staged banter when people are playing games in front of the crowd. My favorite one was from last year I believe. This fake father and son combo are playing a children's game and at the end the kid goes "I love you, dad" and the guy playing the dad just laughed and said "yeah, alright."

I would LOVE to participate in these wonderful sales.. but BB and FS are fucking me over right now. My credit card expires 11/13 and for some reason they will not let me purchase ANYTHING (regardless of release date) due to this. This is some fucked up shit. I asked Visa for a new expiry date/card, but they said I have to wait for November and that the stores should be taking the card regardless... ARGH!

EDIT: Used my girlfriends credit card and got in with Futureshop's sale for Saints Row 4 and Batman: Arkham Origins on PS3, as well as Shin Megami Tensei 4 on 3DS.

Groovy. Not sure what to say about the credit card. Was gonna say maybe the order wouldn't go through if even one of your items was a post-November pre-order, but if nothing works... I dunno. Did you try calling FS/BB customer service?

I ordered Grand Theft Auto V for myself, Battlefield 4 for my friend, and NHL 14 for my brother (maybe). I called to ask about adding The Last of Us, but no dice.

These may not be ideal pre-promo prices or anything. I noticed SMT4 at $50 to start, which... I think I'd heard it might be more expensive, but that still seems like a lot for a 3DS game. They're also selling things like The Dark Sorcerer, which is Quantic Dream's PS4 tech demo short film... and not an actual game. This is all there is to it.

I did contact BB CS and they told me to contact Visa.. and then they told me to contact BB. Gotta love these companies! I just want to spend money!
