Watched a review of someone devouring this burger and it looked like shit on a bun.

The tacos at Hardee's remind me of when I was a kid and the tacos at Taco Bell were good

I gather this is not a new thing but when I was in Cleveland last weekend I noticed a few menus for burger joints talking about their "grilled cheese sandwiches as buns" burger.

The 3 Burger Kings near me, all owned by the same guy, all closed up shop this summer. Kind of bummed because I wanted to try some of the new stuff on the menu, but I ate there less than 10 times a year. Down to just McDonalds and Wendys now.

There's a rumour that the BKs will be replaced by Sonic....which I've never had before, so I'm all for that!

Sonic used to be one of my go to fast food places a few years back but I moved and the one near me is really sucky.

I don't know, I had a pretty kickass cherry root beer the one time I was there (as well as a passable sourdough something or other).

I like Sonic because it's got a good variety of stuff. Nothings great, but there's plenty of stuff that is good enough. Orange Cream Slush FTW

Yeah, that was kind of my thought. There was one near my old work and it had enough variety. The one that I complained about was going and getting an undercooked burger followed by getting a milkshake one night that was runny and tasted of all other flavors from not cleaning the machine properly.

I figure a brand new Sonic, first in it's area, in the interest of North East expansion, will be well managed.....

The variety of the menu appeals to me. Hot dogs, chili fries, root beer floats.....that's standard carnival food that most fast food joints don't have

I thought that too, but the one that came here a couple years ago bombed and flamed out within a year.

Sonic has always been like Krispy Kreme to me, other people rave about it, but it's decent to good at it's best. I get my "Carny Food" fix from local joints that do it better than Sonic does anyways.

Krispy Kreme does killer business down south. The one in Raleigh is open 24 hours.

Krispy Kreme had ridiculously huge lines for the first two years or so it was in LA. When the fad died down they started closing stores all over the place.

I enjoyed the chili-cheese tator tots from Sonic. Also their slushes are nice when it is hot.....and they used to have a deal 1/2 price slushes after 6pm or something.

Krispy Kreme was all the rage when it opened here 5-6 years ago. The fad died quick and hard, and only 1 of the KK locations still stands.

Jack in the Box Tacos 2 for 99c It's the best worst taco ever. I mean, the "meat" looks like catfood, they use half a slice of american cheese...and the thing looks like it was cooked by dropping a cast iron skillet on it....still, when you are drunk at two in the morning....they are easy to shovel down.

Oh, Wendy's, how could you?

Logo didn't need an update, and I liked the old Western font they used. New Wendy is kinda cute, though

Trying to reposition themselves, I understand. The old western font is synonymous with some nasty things, they're going for a more 'fast food' look with the new font.

I only eat there out of convenience, I never go out of my way because the food is still worse than the other fast food burger options in Canada. But it's cool once in awhile.

From the first time I went to a Wendys in the late 80's to the last time I went to one about a month ago, it seems like their clientele has been overwhelmingly made up of senior citizens. It can't be all the same old people 25 years later, so what is it about Wendys that appeals to people once they become geriatric?

I can only conclude that it's baked potatoes and that old timey sign. Wendys just screwed themselves out of 65% of their consumer base.

I don't have the answer to that, but the last time however long ago I went to Wendy's, I was in line behind this big, fat dude (somewhere in his mid-to-late 20s, I'd guess) who was wearing flip-flops that exposed the giant gout he had on his left foot. My immediate thought was "ugh, why doesn't he wear regular shoes to cover that up?" followed by "oh, he probably can't." Still, couldn't he have at least worn socks?

I may have shared that story before, but it bears repeating here.
