I guess to compete with fancy poutineries like Smoke's, Burger King has "bacon" and "angry" poutine now. I assume angry means jalapeno peppers.
Burger King has fucking poutine up there? WE HAVE NO GOD

It's not very good, but yes.
I'm more amazed by the fact that it's so readily available at every corner, not necessarily that BK and McD's have it. I think my friend went to Canada once to visit relatives in Montreal and was the first person to tell me about them, when he had them at a McD's. I can imagine that one might not be too bad, considering the McD's fries.

Food trucks are very hip in LA now. There' a poutine truck drivin around somewhere. I don't care enough to track it down, though.

As for Rally's, it is pretty good. Very overlooked, as there are only 2 that I know of around here, and they don't exactly have the longest lines. But it is really cheap and actually better than most fast food.

The Rally's I've been to usually never over cook. It's actually cooked and not warmed up with a heat lamp unlike McDonalds.

It's everywhere in Montreal, but I don't know if Montreal has wacky flavours like this:

The thing I like about Rally's is that they have a lot of variety on their menu. Haven't been there in awhile, maybe next time I go home (although I might opt for Sonic instead).

I was at a Rally's in Muncie last summer and my drink was a full cup of ice and a few drops of Mr. Pibb. That was kind of annoying.

The last time I went to Checker's, they charged my debit card for my order and the order going through the other drive-thru. That was kind of annoying.

The last time I went to Checkers I got some spicy chicken and fully loaded fries. That was kind of delicious.

Have McDonalds stopped selling the alternate flavored pies on an everyday basis? When I worked for McDonalds as a teenager and for as long as I can remember, they offered the apple pies, and then the other pie flavor would be seasonal, switching ever so often. I can remember a berry pie, pumpkin pie, white custard pie off the top of my head. The McDonalds closest to my house only ever has the apple pies, but then recently added a random cherry pie in there, even though right now would the time that Pumpkin Pie is normally the alternate pie.

To me the alternate pies were always awesome, way better than the apple ones. When I was on the closing crew I remember the team purposely making a batch or two right before we closed, just so we could take them home and have a midnight snack after some "recreational activity"

So my last reply is rendered pointless, as the local McD's chain officially has the Pumpkin Pies right now.

We have triple berry pies in Canada... which for some reason has a picture of an apple on the box (with a strawberry and blueberry).

Tried one of Wendy's revamped burgers today, since we got coupons in the mail for a free one with fry & drink purchase. Not bad, and they're certainly less greasy and unweildy as the old burgers. I remember with the old style the ends of the patty would flop over the bun, with pieces sometimes falling off.

Canada doesn't have much selection when it comes to fast food burgers, but I'd rather eat a Dairy Queen burger than a burger from McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King and A&W.

Fast-forwarding on DVR I thought that was Joel McHale. A previous commercial I thought Rick Mercer was talking about his burger.

These new Harvey's commercials bug me a bit. A) These people are adults and have just discovered this restaurant that's in almost every city and B) Apparently they don't know how to make a burger themselves.

Harveys-Its a Beautiful Thing Commercial (2011)

Points well-taken, but, the girl in that commercial? Holding a hamburger and saying "Canadian"? As god as my witness, that turned me on.

Not her, but, well, yes, I would. The one to whom I refer had black hair and I think a purple shirt on.

I saw the one you meant today. Fake Young Brunette Trish Stratus (as opposed to Fake Joel McHale and Fake Rick Mercer commercials).

Not a chain, but a pretty quick service bar place locally served me a pretty tasty burger last night. It was called "The Big Kahuna" and featured a 10oz. patty, grilled red onions, 2 grilled pineapple slices, a tangy BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and random other stuff. So amazing.

Same place served my bud a "Hangover burger." It was an 8 oz burger served on a breakfast biscuit with scrambled eggs, cheese, grits, and I'm not sure what else. Looked suitable for hangovers :)

According to my friend it was "fucking awesome." But he's a drummer that just got done playing a 3 hour set so he was probably tired, high, and would eat anything.

Though in retrospect that's the first time I've seen grits as anything but a standalone since visiting Atlanta for a conference. (Every place we went to may have been catered by the same people but it was random stews, beans, gravies, etc.. over grits...)
