Watching PK gun down some guy in a Coquette before ALMOST flipping on the ramp by the airport and then driving said shot up to shit Coquette to Simeon was hilarious to watch.

That mission was a bitch since it seemed like that car (it was AI) would subtly speed up to just stay ahead of me. We just kept going around and around the same road.

I finished the story too. The story kinda fizzles out but the last missions are great.

Next time I'll be on will be tomorrow night around 10 EST, and the first thing I'm gonna do is give online a try. Hope I can learn a few things from watching you assholes check and/or wreck yourselves.

Do races and missions that only need one player first to get a good chunk of money and build your level to 5 so you unlock armor and a SMG.

I was able to play online today. It seemed scanning through the instructions that playing with a crew is the more favorable way to do it.

Also, the fact that you spawn in same location, can be bad for when random players in your session want to murder you.

I leveled up to 3 after only doing a couple missions and then started just driving around, then tried to start a "our session vs. their session" deathmatch, it timed out, and then I went back to playing the story.

I'm online so much that I neglect this thread. I'd like to create a 360 crew, as I have a shitty apartment to watch server police chases at.

I'm having a good time stealing cars and selling them for $7000, but the jobs are a hassle when you can't find a good person to team up with. For instance, this guy in a big ass pickup truck decided that for our strategy of attacking a closed-in drug meeting, smashing through a chain-link fence was the right way to go. It doesn't help that this character looks like a meth addict who needs to race fast cars to support his habit and his no skills with a gun whatsoever.
Send me a request on Live. (ZhaneStyles) I'll join. I'm in a crew already with my friends, but they seem to only want to rob stores and search for armored cars (which they have been unsuccessful in doing so far lol) But I think you can join up to 5 crews right?

Btw, the health bar on this thing sucks. -_- Feel like it should be different on online or something. Maybe regenerate fully. Because in some of these missions the AI will basically snipe you, even with pistols. Don't drive away from enemies too slowly or you're dead. Not in cover for 95% of the mission? Dead. This is supposed to be GTA, not Splinter Cell.

(WrathofCaan) I think that the problem with the jobs and health bar is that they really want you to have a four person crew going in there with specified jobs to pull some of the fire away. If you're doing the mission alone, there should be a couple of changes in there to make it possible to accomplish without having to sit in cover for a decade or two.

Played some Online last night, got to level 4. Love the racing, even though I thought I'd hate it. I don't ever come even close to winning, but at least it gives you some cash and RP, so it's an easy way to level up. Tried to do some hold-ups, the first one was cake, then every subsequent one I had problems. Car door wouldn't open in one, got shot in the back by another player during one, and the third one I just had one bad turn during my escape and ended up in the water (where Michael and his daughter run around with jetskis during the story) and got fucked up.

That first drug mission was crazy because I pretty much immediately died (didn't realize what I was walking into) but when I respawned I was able to run (literally) back over there and kill the guy with the drugs as he was running away, then casually pick them up and take them to the drop off spot.

Also, is there a way to mute all the goofy assholes in the same world as you? Because god damn was that shit annoying (I wasn't wearing my headset and it was pumping through the TV).

Do you have to complete flight school to move onto the job Trevor organized?

I'm just making money with trying to do two person races with friends and finding the right cars to sell away for 7,000. I think I'll try to get the best condo this week.

I love putting on passive mode and having bullets fly through me. They're so disappointed. Dying is too expensive.

So have all the major bugs been fixed? I finished the story yesterday and would like to get started on the online mode. All I've done so far is create a character and watch the intro. Not sure if the character even saved.

Yea, I hope that's something addressed in a future patch. If they want to keep it the same in free mode, just so passive mode has a point, that's fine. (I mostly remain in a private lobby now anyway) but there is absolutely no reason why dying during missions should impact your money. Especially Team fuckin' DEATHmatch. It's insane.

I'm pretty sure there's a good portion of the game I'm missing because I'm "afraid" to do anything involving guns, because I'll lose all my damn money lol. I won't even do GTA race! So, races, parachute jumps, and free mode crime it is for me until something is done. There def needs to be a party mode or something at least. I mean if me and my crew want to jump off the Maze Bank building and go splat just for fun, we should be able to with no consequences.

I've had zero problems with it since I finally got to connect. Join The Real TSM crew!

And I *think* you can invite people to a session in the Online menu. Or just invite them to do a job and then have everyone select to go back to Freemode afterwards.

But hey, we beat level ten in Survival Mode and made good money from it. But yeah, one way to beat the system, for now, is to just do two person races to make quick money without many downfalls. A good half an hour of finishing second will still mean 10k.

I'll have to make a list of the best cars to steal and sell to LSC in time.

I've unlocked bounties so that's a good way to make a few thousand. I need to write down the cars Simeon wants since I got $9000 from bringing him just one.

The cars are generally the same, no? I've always had a Fathom pop up for his list if wanted cars.

But yea, Myself and A Happy Medium had a great round of Survival earlier. Definitely need to get a whole squad going (esp with the crew 10% bonus) one of these days. Made 30k off 1 1/2 games. I normally wouldn't do Survival, but it's much more manageable when you have a competent team as we did earlier.

edit- And Broward, these aren't just cars of Simeon. You can grab any car in the game and just pull into Los Santos Customs and sell it for some quick cash. You can do it once every in game day. Which I believe is every 45 minutes or so.

My favorite moment of Survival from the afternoon was when running out of ammo, I wound up hiding in a dumpster and firing away with an assault shotgun from over my shoulder.

I attempted to do the same with that freakin' Assault Shotgun against that Helicopter when I ran out of ammo. It didn't work. Lol.

I'm on PS3, how do you search for a crew....is it an option under "Online" menu once you are connected?

Haha. After you died on that second go around where we had two helicopters, we were so screwed. I tried to bring out the six rounds I had with a sniper rifle, but it was no use. Good times, and good money.

I booted it up today and there was another patch to download. I have no idea what it fixes. Also, I was driving with Trevor towards the airstrip and I hit a police car, which raised my wanted level. The screen froze and said Mission Failed - You are wanted. I hit retry and I was doing the last heist. Odd.

Stole a car that was apparently too good to sell and didn't have a garage to keep it in, so that kinda sucked. I need to get at least enough dough to purchase the lowest end garage so I don't have to go through that again.

If I remember correctly, even if you have a garage you wouldn't be able to store it. Majority of the 'high end' cars, you have to buy through the games Internet feature.

It's a shame that you need to buy the high end cars, but I understand the idea of owning a Comet to be an achievement. Right now, I'm just grinding towards 400K to buy the most expensive condo in the game. It comes with a 6 car garage, I believe. So, I'm doing a survival, survival, sell stolen car spree at the moment.

I feel like I should have asked around first - I thought people were so mad at their Xboxes the PS3 version would be the version of choice (plus the whole "1 disc for data, 1 disc for the game" thing which I realize happens with the PS3 version too, but one BR disc seemed more convenient for it).
