Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and DJ Hero will be released this autumn and Activision has promised that its three new music games will "redefine the company's popular music gaming platform."
We already know about DJ Hero and a new Guitar Hero game is to be expected but Band Hero is a new franchise. As the title suggests, it will support the guitar, bass, drums and microphone controllers but how will the game differ from Guitar Hero?
With this new music collection featuring top 40 hits it would appear that the focus is on expanding the audience for a family-friendly experience. According to Activision, the game builds upon Guitar Hero's easy-to-play, difficult-to-master signature gameplay and allows novice players and expert fans to join together on their favourite songs.
Guitar Hero 5 again promises to feature the hottest rock and roll bands of today alongside tracks by classic rock bands. There is very little new information on the game but Activision does reveal that it will give an unprecedented level of control over the way you play the game with the ability to drop in and out of songs and change band members, instruments and difficulty levels on the fly.
Finally there's DJ Hero. You can see a picture of the new turntable controller below. You'll be getting behind the decks as you mix hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance tunes. Players will attempt to rule the club scene by creating original mixes of popular songs and music from the world's most exciting artists and DJs.
