TSM Madden NFL 10 League- Season 2, Week 4
The Seahawks and Cowboys met in a clash of 2-2 teams who are trying to turn their seasons around in Texas Stadium and the home team got fucking pwned. Finally the 'Hawks had their most complete game of the year on the defensive side of things, only breaking down in the last minute with the two minute offense where Romo threw a pick with no time remaining anyways (almost returned it all the way if only Felix Jones wasn't so fucking quick). I'm desperately looking at replacing Hasselbeck, especially after this season, and while I think Brohm might be good enough to eventually replace him, I need an A or B potential QB.

Interesting that you've switched to the 4-3 and I've switched to the 3-4 and you rejected my Suggs for Kerney trade. Kerney's a better 4-3 DE and Suggs is a better 3-4 OLB so it would only make sense. Also, the Burleson for Morrow trade is still pending. Any word on that?Kinsey said:

I'd want more for Morrow. You have more of a need for a Qb than I do for a WR. I'd trade Morrow(an A potential QB) for Kerney/Burleson or some draft picks. Don't know if you can trade draft picks though.
Kerney might be a better 4-3 DE, but I think its the Ngata factor: Ngata requires a double team, so you're getting guys like Suggs, Trevor Pryce, and Antwan Barnes getting through to the QB even more. I can usually let Ray Lewis stick to QB Spy a good deal lately, which is why he has 2 or 3 picks in 4 games.

Close game against the Panthers. 38-28 Ravens. The defense wasn't so hot, but Ray Lewis and Jarret Johnson made two key INTs. Sadly, no sacks though.
Flacco was 24-for-28, 195 yards, 3 tds and 2 ints. The Panthers forced him to dink and dunk. Williams showed up, 7 for 72 yards, but otherwise the pass game was vanilla.
Ray Rice continues being the team MVP, 129 yards on 21 carries, for 2 tds. He also hauled in 3 passes for 19 yards.
Leron McClain caught another TD pass, tied with Heap for 2nd on the team with 3 tds apiece. Mason leads the team with 4 tds.

Yes but you have no need for a third string QB or whatever you have Morrow at now since you have Flacco. I have no problem trading WRs since I have 4-5 pretty good ones whereas you said earlier in the thread you were sorely lacking a speedy, consistent wideout. Hence Burleson, who has as much if not more value than Morrow has. I was willing to throw in Kerney if I got a good linebacker in return for him because that would kind of leave a bit of a hole for me if I traded him.Kinsey said:

Buffalo manages to come back thanks to Vinatieri choking on two FGs shorter than 35 yards, and win it 20-14. Edwards finished 17/23 for 158 yards and 1 TD, while Marshawn Lynch added 93 yards on 15 carries and a TD of his own.

TSM Madden NFL 10 League- Season 2, Week 4
In a hotly contested battle for control of the NFC West, the Seahawks came out on top after being down 3-0 in the first half thanks to two Matt Hasselbeck picks in the red zone and a failed fourth down conversion. I just can't seem to land those medium range to deep passes with him like I used to, so I'm guessing his ability is declining severely at this point. He's experiencing Jake Delhomme syndrome whereby a formerly solid Pro Bowl QB completely regresses and starts throwing picks like it's going out of style.
Thankfully my defense and special teams is stepping up its game big time. The Cards kicked off to me to start the second half and I brought that back all the way to make it 7-3, then when I kicked off to them on the first play Warner throws a deep bomb which one of my CB's picks off and takes it back to get Qwest Field rocking. After that it was just a matter of playing keep-away with short passes and running with Girley and although I couldn't keep them out of the endzone, we did end up with a solid victory, 21-10.
Fun stat: When the Seahawks are wearing blue (so this includes the Dallas game), we've given up 12, 9, 0, and 10 and are 4-0. When wearing white, the Seahawks are 0-2 and gave up over 30 points a game. I think I'm going to just start wearing neon green on the road now.

Yeah, so I had an excellent game against the Redskins. Up 14-0 after the half, though I barely kept them off the score board during the first half. I was figuring that maybe, just maybe, I'd have a close game for once this season...
That went to hell on the kickoff. I lost the coin toss, so it was being kicked to me, and low and behold Devonte Sanders returns the kickoff for a TD. So now its up 21-0. Can't complain about that, gives me a comfortable lead, which, considering how stingy my defense has been this season, I don't need to worry that I can hold onto it.
On the ensuing kick off, guess what? FUMBLE and I'm then up 28-0. After that, it was smooth sailing.
By the time everything was all said and done, final score, Redskins 0. Atlanta 49.
Matt Ryan was 7 for 7 for 75 yards and a score.
Michael Turner had 28 carries for 114 yards and 3 TDs.
Laurence Maroney made good on his 8 touches for 36 yards and a TD.
Jerious Norwood carried 3 times for 11 yards and a TD.
Tony Gonzalez had 2 receptions for 27 yards and a TD.
Roddy White had 2 receptions for 24 yards.
Lawrence Sidbury had 4 tackles, all for losses, 3 for sacks.
Tim Crowder had the only turnover, it was a fumble.
Terrence Wheatley had 2 tackles and returned that fumble for a TD.
Devonte Sanders had 1 KR for 94 yards and a TD, 3 PRs for 42 yards.
Sorry, but when the other team plays so bad, its kinda hard to find anything to give them credit for.
Man, switching to a 3-4 defense was the best thing I ever did. Also Maroney isn't so bad. Might continue using him as the #2 to build him up.
Also, time for slight change to my trading block. John Abraham (I don't think he works in a 3-4 defense) and Jerious Norwood are the only ones on the block. Looking for B or A potential players in return. Though willing to listen to any offers.

I was surprised to see that he has only played 1 out of 6 games this season (and I had to remind him about the 1), and it's not fair for guys like you to get losses because of it. I told him that if he misses 1 more, he's out. And if that 1 is against a human player, I'll boot him before advancing so that person can play the CPU.

TSM Madden NFL 10 League- Season 2, Week 4
So, I just got my game with the Dolphins finished. The first half was sloppy as all fuck, 6 turnovers total, including 4 within a 6 play span. Seriously. Bills controlled the game, up 14-0 at halftime, and then kept trading scores with the Dolphins in the second half to eventually win it 31-17. Ronnie Brown went down with a broken collarbone in the third quarter, so anyone who plays the Fins in the next 6 weeks doesn't have to worry about him. But that's not the big story of the game.
Late in the 4th, just under the 2 minute warning, I had a 3rd and 12. I decided, fuck it, do a quick pass and see if maybe I can get enough after the catch so I can just sit on the ball to end the game. Reed looked open enough, so I passed it his way. Will Allen went up, tipped the ball away, and ended up landing on Reed. Reed ended up suffering a fractured vertebrae on the play, ending his career. Fuck.
Trent Edwards went 15/22 for 325 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT.
Lynch had just 45 yards on 15 carries, but had 3 catches for 151 yards and a score.

...actually if you look at my schedule I've got like the least impressive schedule out of everyone and my only human opponent this week basically went "aw fuck, I'm down, screw it, let's just get it over with".
I think I've got San Fran and Seattle to deal with as well as one more team, so I don't know if I'll manage to keep my winning streak going. I know I'm going to be playoff bound, since I've got enough CPU teams to play against, its just more the seeding I'll be worried about.
I've also got a trick that I want to try for the second year rookie draft which should be interesting.
